“Get Away with my BFF's!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My friend Susan and I surprised our friend Jean who visited us from PA to a weekend in St. Charles. We stayed at the newly opened Frenchtown Inn! Innkeepers Larry and Chris Ford who have been friends for years were absolutely wonderful! Accomodations were excellent, the inn was absolutely spotless. They have decorated the inn to bring back the history of the house and the area. So fun sitting on the front porch early in the morning drinking coffee, and listening to the awakening of birds and the sounds of the early morning. And the aroma coming out of the kitchen a surprise to experience! Such a wonderful breakfast! Chris has always been such a good cook, but wow her gourmet breakfast was awesome!! Walking distance to the quaint shops downtown. We checked out and made our way to Busch Stadium to cheer on the Cardinals (beat the Cubbies) Cannot wait to return, already have another weekend planned! Dee, Jean, and Susan

Room Tip: All three rooms great! We had the whole upstairs, private, quiet! Could giggle into the wee hours wi...

This beautiful B&B is just a short stroll away from Main St and the river front in historic St Charles. Our room upstairs was very clean, comfortable, and the adjacent sitting room was a wonderful touch. Chris and Larry are clearly having a good time as hosts of this historic inn. Our breakfasts were memorable and left nothing wanting.
If you want to explore St Charles or the Katy Trail, this is definitely the place to stay.
We're looking forward to our next visit to see what else this lovely town has to offer.

Room Tip: It doesn't matter, there isn't a bad room.

Linda and I joined our daughters family for a trip to St Charles. We stayed at the French Town Inn recently purchased by friends Larry and Chris Ford. Was amazed by the quality of the Inn. Chris has always been a excellent cook, so was not surprised by the breakfasts provided. The Inn is a short walk to historic Main Street in St Charles that has many great stores and restaurants, not to be outdone by historical sites. We really enjoyed walking along the Katy Trail with it's great view of the Missouri River. Would highly recommend the French Town Inn and we look forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: The upstairs suite provides the most privacy and room. Has a nice setting area attached.

Having been long-time friends with Chris and Larry - the proprietors of The Frenchtown Inn - I was pre-disposed to like their B & B. I was not prepared, however, to be completely blown away by the beauty, serenity, and comfort they provide. I already knew Chris is an excellent and creative cook; I already knew that there is just about nothing Larry can't do; I did NOT know that the two nights we spent there would be so restorative and satisfying. We sat on the porch in the swing or one of the rockers or in the pretty and comfortable living room. We visited in the kitchen while our breakfast was being prepared. We slept in comfort in one of the lovely guest rooms! It is a joy to be able to wholeheartedly recommend this B & B to anyone who wishes to take advantage of the charm of historic St. Charles!

Room Tip: We all decided it was likely that each of us would request the same room we enjoyed this time! Ever...

We just spent an absolutely delightful three-day weekend at The Frenchtown Inn. The Inn opened this spring under the capable management of new owners, Larry and Christine Ford.
We stayed in the Fleur de Lis Room. The room was lovely, restful, immaculate, and very comfortable. There is a second guest room on the first floor and a spacious suite on the second floor. Bathrooms are spotless and modern, with fluffy towels and robes, as well as delightful soaps and lotions.
Breakfasts were provided in the well-appointed dining room, with Christine and Larry preparing amazing meals for their guests. The design of the room offered a good setting for conversations in a relaxed atmosphere. From hot waffles to fresh juices and fruits to delicious breakfast casseroles and meats, the meals gave a great beginning to the day.
Chris and Larry know the area well and can provide guests with much information about local sights, restaurants, special events, and the history of this charming town. My husband and I enjoyed strolling past stately old homes, trendy shops and restaurants, and lovely buildings. St. Charles is host to a number of festivals and special events, and last weekend we enjoyed an Irish Festival, a short walk from the Inn to the banks of the Missouri River. Perhaps my favorite part of the day was sitting on the large front porch of the home, surrounded by pots of flowers and hanging baskets, with a steaming cup of delicious coffee early in the morning. We ended our day in much the same way, enjoying a glass of wine and snacks which the owners graciously provided.
The Fords are excellent hosts who are genuinely committed to making your stay perfect during your time with them. From the lovely facility to the delicious meals to the great service, I feel confident in recommending The Frenchtown Inn for an amazing, wonderful experience. We are already looking forward to a future visit, with a chance to enjoy autumn or winter holidays at The Frenchtown Inn.

We stayed here while riding the Katy Trail and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed upstairs and found the room to be very spacious and comfortable. The new owners, Larry and Chris, were very hospitable. Breakfast was amazing and filling! We'll definitely stay there again when we do the trail again.

Can't believe I found the perfect home away from home! Minutes walk thru a lovely, historic neighborhood to the old downtown antiques and shopping district. Seconds from the katy trail. Hosts are professional but warm and gracious, made my stay very easy. Breakfast was wonderful- healthy and generous. My husband will love this place when I bring him next visit.
