“Wonderful property for vacation or business”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

We are locals and had been through the lobby of Embassy Suites and in the adjoining Convention Center many times, but this was our first stay. It is a great facility with excellent service by a friendly staff, with a couple of added values. We enjoyed the complimentary manager's reception which is held in the dining area evenings from 5:30-7:30. There is a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and a limited amount of snacks. Other appetizers are available at $6 each, so one could certainly make that a relatively inexpensive meal. The king-sized bedroom-suite was very quiet and comfortable with privacy for the adults and a sofabed if one or two kids or another couple is with them. There was a nice mini-bar area. I don't think the sheet fitted the king-size bed very well. At least it pulled away the mattress, like it was made for a queen-size bed. The atrium and the huge skylight around which the rooms are located make for an attractive property. The other value is the complimentary breakfast, one of the best we have ever had in house. Between 7:00 and 10:00 on this Saturday, you could get a cooked-to-order omelets (up to 6 at a time!) and pancakes. The line moves quickly for this, but if you can't wait, there is also a buffet table with fruit, eggs, potatoes, and other items. The staff really kept things restocked and tables clean. The fitness center is in excellent condition with several treadmills, other machines, and a nice weight set. The swimming pool and hot tub are not very spacious for the number of families that were in the hotel that weekend, but they looked clean and relaxing. There were also onsite spa services, but we did not try them. Maybe next time. We wanted a swim late on Friday night, but there were no pool towels. We checked with the desk and she promised housekeeping would bring some more. We waited, but no towels were delivered, so that was disappointing. Overall, congratulations to John Q Hammons and the Embassy Suites!

Stayed for a few nights for a work event. The rooms are very comfortable much bigger than I expected. The free breakfast and coffee is very convenient. The hotel is very accommodating, they allowed for me to check out later due to a later flight. The spa is also a great amenity. The workers there are very friendly and experienced. Definitely recommend.

Room was Very nice. Staff could not have been more helpful and Friendly. We overslept and when I called the desk thinking we would have to stay another night or at least pay for another night, they said not to worry and gave us extra time. We did not have to rush and that was Wonderful. Thanks to all that work there. It is a Great place and one of the Best so far.

This is a good hotel with nice clean rooms but breakfast is a nightmare! I read the previous reviews about breakfast problems but was assured by the front desk that there would be a hot buffet with bacon or sausage so we wouldn't be held up in the made to order lines! Unfortunately this is not the case and a hotel that housed 3 family reunions and at least two weddings last night required anyone who wanted a piece of bacon to wait in a line that took at least 45 minutes to get through! We will not be back until this problem is fixed...we stay at the Embassy for the upscale service including breakfast. The breakfast problem totally cheapens the experience! Clearly management knows it is a problem but is taking no steps to solve the problem...I assume this is a cost saving tactic, we saw many guests skipping breakfast once they saw the line!

I would be back to visit the Spa!! I also enjoyed the quality and quantity of the food in the restaurant. The hotel overall is a great place for family and business travelers. I would love to see more parking on the front side for all travelers.

Great mattresses, roomy quiet suites with adequate blackout curtains, great free breakfast buffet and managers reception. Unfortunately because of my scheduling demand I did not get a chance to experience the fitness room, pool, or spa. Like Arnold Swartzenegger said, " I'll be back".

The hot breakfast was excellent. You could have omlets and pancakes made hot for you with what you wanted in them. Then there was also a breakfast buffet right there with scrambled eggs, fruit, yogart and lots more. At night the managers party you show your room key for the drinks which are free, They have numerous snacks out and a popcorn machine. You won' go hungry.
We were there 2 weeks ago for a car convention. They had a special area just for our cars for parking. This hotel is connected to the convention center on the lower floor from the inside. We would stay here again if in that area. Since we also had a hospitality room for our convention with lots of food you didn't even have to go out for a main meal, because of all the snacking on food and the great breakfast.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor across the atrium from where the elevators are. I think it was 425 and it...
