“Very friendly staff”

The staff here was very friendly. The guy working at the breakfast buffet was really fun to watch. The place was packed and he was running around refilling food and drinks, cleaning tables and the whole time smiling and chatting with guests. The front desk was equally as friendly offering bottled water and snacks and helping with directions. The maid was also cheery. The room was comfortable and clean. The halls can be rather noisy which is due to inconsiderate guests who return late at night and are noisy. Make sure if you need a smoke free room that you get one in a hall that is all non-smoking. We requested non-smoking and while the room was non-smoking the whole hall was not. Obviously, that smell seeps into the room under the door and every time the door is opened. It wasn't horrible but take note. If you want to be close to downtown St. Charles, this is not the place for you. Overall, a great place to stay.

I know that might sound like an insult, but it's not. You're not expecting late night room service and an infinity pool, are you? Great spot for the business traveler or even the tourist who is looking to see St. Louis, but not stay in St. Louis ($$$?). St. Charles and St. Peter are both very nice towns to explore, and this Hampton Inn is perfectly situated near the highway, but I did not hear any highway noise (nice). The staff was wonderful, check in and check out was a snap, and they were there to help with any needs. Free Cookies! How can you go wrong with that?

Worth being an HHonors members for the few perks it gets you.

I stayed a couple of nights. It is easy to get to right off of I70. The property is exactly what you would expect from a well run Hampton Inn. Very good value. Their fitness center is definitely above the norm. I haven't seen a hotel fitness center with a TV screen built into the treadmills before! Nice addition.

We stayed here for 2 nights to attend a family funeral. In addition to this Hampton being well-maintained and efficiently managed, I had to write a review to commend the staff on superior service. Within an hour after check-in, the front desk called our room to check that everything was satisfactory. When the weather turned into a snowy, icy, windy mess, the staff went beyond their expected functions. Without being asked, the general manager, along with other staff members, preceded guests who needed to leave into the parking area and cleaned the snow and ice off their cars. The front desk staff called several restaurants in the area to find out which were opened and could serve meals for their guests, saving us unnecessary driving. They even offered to get in some groceries like soup and sandwich fillings and invited us to eat there if we didn't wish to venture out! By the next morning, when it had stopped snowing and the parking area had been plowed, we saw two staff members bundle up, get snow shovels and remove the small piles of snow near guest cars. Of course, the coffee, tea, and cookies in the lobby were a great touch, and the breakfast service area was always clean and well-stocked, tended by another friendly staff member. This Hampton Inn should be proud of all of its personnel..

We needed a place to stay for an unexpected family funeral and this hotel exceeded our expectations! It's located right off the highway and close to nice restaurants and shopping (Walmart was very close). The hotel lobby was beautiful and featured free, delicious coffee (and sometimes cookies!) 24/7. The hot breakfast was the best we've ever had at a hotel. The rooms don't have a mini-frig or microwave but, because of breakfast and the 24/7 coffee and cookies, we never missed them! The counter staff was incredibly cheerful and greeted us upon every exit and arrival. The cleaning staff was also noticeably pleasant, and accommodating when we needed extra towels. The room was incredibly clean and the beds were comfy. Our daughters loved the corner-angled mirrors in the bathroom and got a kick out of the fancy towel sculptures - 2 swans made out of handtowels! For the price, this was an exceptional value. This will be our favorite hotel whenever we're in St. Louis to see our family from now on!

I stay at hamptons for consistent quality. I was pleasantly surprised that they had just remodeled. Great rooms, excellent buffet in the morning, and all for a good value. Would recommend if you need a place in st. Charles.

The stay went really well. No problems with noise, the room or the service. My main problem was realizing the day that I checked out that I had left some things in the room. When I called the employee acted as if there was no way I could get them that day. I politely asked if she could try to figure out a way. Needless to say "there were no managers" and there was "no way I could get my belongings" because they were locked in a room that "only the managers could get in". If that is the case I feel maybe they should have a manager on duty at all times. I am not much of a mean person or a complainer about my stays but I could NOT believe that I couldn't pick my stuff up until the following morning at 7am. other than that I would say it was a reasonable place to stay.

Room Tip: DO NOT leave anything behind.
