As I am writing this review I am planning my third ghost tour. Over the last two years I have taken a different friend and both times they both loved it. I am taking my sister this time. The tour operator is very interesting and has lots of stories to tell. He has the meters that go off when there is some kind of energy in the area. He also warns that in certain areas there are electrical boxes and such and that will trigger the meter so that would not be a ghost. The meters did go off at certain parts of the street. Basically you walk up the cobbled street in Old Town St. Charles then back down to where you started. A lot of history of old St. Charles is given so if you are a history buff you will love it. My friend was looking through her camera into a dark alley and saw a light through the lens, we couldn't see it with just our eyes and when she took the picture nothing was there. It was supposed to be an alley where someone was killed. Who knows? You may see or smell or hear something that you can't explain. It is a fun evening and you can go out to dinner in old town St. Charles and do some shopping and make it a whole night. Oh the tour operator has written a book on his experiences. I found it interesting also.
