We had a very good stay here. This is an older motel with two floors and exterior doors, the kind I was used to staying in when traveling with my parents as a boy growing up in the 60s. So it felt like home right away. The rooms are neat and tidy, even though they are older. Everything has been well maintained. We did have an issue with lighting when we arrived, but once we got a couple of new bulbs and straightened out the electrical cables, all was well. The breakfast is quite good, well stocked and well-maintained. My favorite part is walking out the door in the morning and surveying mile after mile of hill-covered terrain. The motel sits up quite high, and the view is impressive, especially for a guy from flat-earth western Michigan. Not only would I stay here again while going from points A to B, I would have no problem staying for several nights. This is really a nice find!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel, away from the highway, and it will be the quietest nig...

Had a pleasant stay while traveling back home for the holidays. Checked in late, about 1:00 A.M., and the overnight desk lady was quick, polite, and supplied me with an extra blanket when I asked. The room was clean, warmed up quickly, and the bed and pillow were very comfy and seemed very condusive to sleep. Morning shower was nice and hot. Breakfast was provided, basic waffles, cereal, milk, juice, but all tasted fresh. Manager checked me out, a nice lady. Access to the place was easy enough, just off the highway. I stayed in the "300" block, which faced away from the highway, and provided a small view of the local area. Overall if I'm headed this way again I'll be staying here most definitely.

Room Tip: the 300 Rooms face away from the highway and seemed very quiet.

We had a great stay and the room was very clean and kept up -especially for a pet room.
Andy at the front desk greeted us right away and the lobby was done up for Christmas, just like home. He was very helpful with a restaurant suggestion (we chose not to eat at the onsite buffet). The tourist info center was just around the corner and there was a park less than a block away where we took the dog for a walk while the kids played.
We had an early start in the morning, but they made sure breakfast was set up in time for us to grab some to go.

Great experience and good price. Very convenient, right off the interstate and quiet to boot. The staff and management were so accommodating to my family. The lobby was decorated for the holidays and made us feel so at home and welcome. The room was very clean and beds were better than home. We would of stayed longer if we could of. Cannot wait to return!

We stayed at this property en route to another destination. The first stay was pleasant enough. Really unremarkable in many ways. The room was clean and pretty comfortable. There was a slight whooshing sound throughout the night, but it was soft background noise. On our second stay on the way home our experience could not have been more different. The refrigerator was plugged into an outlet that is operated by a light switch. I opened it and it smelled overwhelmingly and unmistakably like decay. It was cold outside. The heater in the room was either on full blast or off entirely. It didn't cycle. We alternately froze and roasted. There was a black ring (mold?) around the waterline in the toilet. The towel rack was hanging loosely on the wall. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable and had a steep incline toward the center. We had a terrible night's rest. The room that we stayed in that was comfortable was 110. The room that we stayed in that should be avoided is 124. I will not even consider this property in the future. The bright side of this terrible stay was that the breakfast attendant was friendly and attentive.

Rooms were clean and staff was hospitable. Continental breakfast was fresh and adequate. Overall good value for the price. This was an overnight stay, and all we wanted was a clean room, decent breakfast and didn't need any extras. Our room faced the parking lot and still remained quiet with easy access.
