Talk about off the grid! Randy's is a few miles north of I-70 near Rolla MO, out on Randy's own property. Make the side trip, people.
Well seasoned and smoked beef and pork were my choices this visit. The Roadkill Chips are homemade potato chips heaped with a generous portion of shredded beef, some baked beans, and a unfortunately scant dusting of cheese. In my chat with Randy I let him know a little more chese would help.
Pulled pork sammich was outstanding. Not the vinegar pork of NC but a nice smokey pork. Accompanying sweet potato fries were super crisp.
Randy's house made sauce is a winner, not that the meats need it.
Usual selection of the mass market brews, could use a lift here. Great, camp lodge atmosphere. By all means if you need to eat while in or near Rolla go see Randy. Only open Thurs thru Sunday.
