“Excellent service and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

The service and friendliness of the restaurant staff was something rare. The hostess/host staff welcomed us like we were family. The waitress answered all of our questions and was happy to alter one of the meals to meet my allergies. The view was undescribable.
This is a must visit location.

“Not worth the wait”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

We have been waiting 8 years for the Top of the Rock to reopen. The restaurant atmosphere is wonderful. Typical Big Cedar. The food left alot to be desired. The queso was curdled and seemed like smoked cheddar that had been melted. Our overpriced entrees all tasted the same, smoked meat of some variety in a different shell with lots of peppers and cheese. The best thing on my plate was the corn on the cob. I would advise going back to Big Cedar for a real meal if you are going to spend that much money. Very disappointing to be a regular at Big Cedar and wait this long for overpriced mediocre food. Beautiful surroundings once they finish landscaping, but not worth the price.

“You won't believe the view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

Top of the Rock is owned by Johnny Morris/Bass Pro. This area has been in construction for over 8 years ever since the original restaurant burned. Bass Pro has created a PGA golf course here that overlooks Table Rock Lake. You have two choices for restaurants--the Osage Restaurant and Arnie's Barn (both in the same location). The Osage Restaurant is top of the line American food with prices ranging from $25 and up. Arnie's Barn is a restaurant in Arnold Palmer's original barn disassembled by the Amish and brought by piece to Ridgedale, MO. This restaurant serves authentic Mexican food and it is AWESOME!!! Warning: the enchilada plate is HUGE--get one order and share it with someone! The servers don't mind and they don't charge you for the extra plate. Be sure to check out the beautiful rock church on the grounds, walk down through the Osage Restaurant down to the banquet hall and check out the infinity pool that looks like it pours out into Table Rock Lake. You don't want to miss the beautiful statues, the museum pieces (complete with a mastodon), and the cellar where the wine is kept. This is an amazing place!! If you are in Branson, MO. it is just south, a little beyond Hollister, MO. Same exit as Big Cedar Lodge! PS: Dress code--men must wear collard shirts to dinner (golf type polo shirts are fine) and everyone has to wear shoes! Even if it is the Ozarks!. Dress shorts are ok, lots of golfers here!

“Good food, good service, fabulous view!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

We ate on the deck at Arnie's Barn Restaurant for lunch and it was really good food. The barn is an OLD barn from Pennsylvania that they brought over and reconstructed. Make sure you look around...it is really something to see. Our waitress was fun and attentive and the view is out of this world!!! The price was a little steep, but not bad considering the view. During the day you can wear shorts and t-shirts to eat, but come 5:00, men need a collared shirt and ladies "resort casual" (whatever that is) and the main restaurant is open then, also.

“Bland mexican, but atmosphere is great”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

We had frozen margaritas and combo fajitas. Both were flavorless. The salsa was very mild, even the hot was tasteless. The queso was thick and curdled - not quite certain what happened to the cheese. It tasted OK, but the texture was odd.

The service and views are superb. Considering the great meals we've had in the past at Devil's Pool, Worman House, and Truman House, this is not the same quality.

My husband said he had to give a credit card to make the reservation and if we didn't show we would be charged. What's with that?

We parked at the Welcome Center so we didn't have to pay for valet parking. The shuttle service was prompt.
