“Nice break from Branson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

Simply beautiful facility. Nice drive if you swing down and go over the lake and past the dam. Loved the ham steak, crostini, mac and cheese, smoked chicken salad. Chairs were uncomfortable, and our waiter was definetly "in training" - - but I guess the service part is why the prices are so reasonable. We were intrigued by the College, which we knew little about. Purchased their apple butter, grits, and biscuit mix in gift shop. If you are going to do a nice night out, this is a great option.

“Great restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014 via mobile

We had a group of seven here for dinner tonight and had a great meal. In case you don't know this restaurant is run by they student at the College of the Ozarks and they do a great job. Much of the food is produced right on the college campus and all the staff are students. It is great training for them and all the food was very good.

You have to get the ten layer chocolate cake for dessert.

“Great Eating!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

Our family spent Thanksgiving weekend 2013 in Branson. We chose to eat at College of the Ozarks, and thoroughly enjoyed a true, home-cooked meal at a great value. Take the time to visit. It is worth your time.

“Farm fresh food, excellently prepared and presented.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014

C of O as we fondly refer to it in Branson is one of the best places to eat in the whole area. It is a college where the students are taught how to raise their own cows, crops and produce. Their restaurant is wonderful, the food superb, and the eager to please student-waiters quite charming. I love eating here and always have a fantastic meal. They also serve some of the best homemade ice cream I have ever had. Try the blueberry sorbet. It is like a bowl of just picked and crushed blueberries with milk and sugar. Absolutely delicious!

“Less than awful but mediocre at best.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

Actually, the desserts were great. But that's all that was great.
We had high hopes after reading the previous reviews. Uh, no. Not great. Not even very good. Not awful. That's what all 8 of us individually rated the food.
The service was fine. Not as in a fine dining restaurant. But just fine.
We would neither go back, nor recommend it. Unfortunately, we the opposite of recommend it.
Sorry U of O. But I'd suggest somebody do some fine tuning.
