“LOVED the stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

In response to a previous misconstrued complaint, I would have to say that my stay here was absolutely more than expected. These are some of the nicest units on the lake. This resort has two different styles of rooms, which is great because it accommodates all types of guests. Their older units are still kept clean, but it is clear that they are not like their immaculate condo units, which are, of course, newer. We have stayed in both before and have been happy with both. It is simply a matter of preference. The said guest with the complaint clearly isn't as observant as she claims, when the laundry exchange is in the garage, right across from the office, and something that EVERYBODY drives by, with a big sign that lists their hours. And this guest probably didn't realize what the whole "wattage" means on a light bulb. Yes, putting in the wrong wattage CAN start a fire, and the owner isn't going to put in the wrong light bulb just because you are griping, and risk starting a fire which would have been a legit reason for you to complain. ANYWAY, I have never had issues with my stay here, we love seeing Maggie when we check in, she is always so helpful and friendly, and we loved our stay over this summer, the blonde girls in the office were very friendly, professional, and made it feel like home, not just a hotel, and the guys were always seen helping guests or working hard. The whole staff has this attitude, which we really enjoyed! They always greet guests and will offer to help, which is way more to say than most other hotels, which you will rarely ever get this great of service, let alone see the staff ever. And no, this is not "a plant" like Dwood claimed, I am a very pleased guest who plans on returning for many years to come :)

First of all, I would like to say in response to Dwood that this post is certainly not "a plant". We arrived home yesterday afternoon from our semi annual 5 day stay at Robin's and we wish we were still there. We have been visiting Robin's at least twice a year for the last 11 years or so and have never had a problem. Our visit began with the Maggie (the owner) greeting us by name as we arfrived. This was typical of all the staff at the resort. The staff is so helpful and work hard to keep the resort looking pretty and clean. During our eleven years we have stayed at several different styles of units at the resort and they have always been clean. And yes, there is no daily room service, but one must remember that this is a resort and not a 5 star hotel. We have visited many resorts at the Lake over the years and I have yet to see any "resort" offer daily cleaning. I can't say enough good things abourt Robin's and can't wait for our annual Spring visit. My husband wants me to add that he caught his limit of big crappie every day! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ROBIN'S!!!

This was our 6th year going to Robins. We stayed a week at this great resort. They never fail providing a great room. The friendly staff there does an outstanding job. Even saw one staff member quit the task he was doing to help an elderly couple with the luggage. This place is beautiful and the fishing was great. We love Robins and cant wait to come back again. We miss it already.

Room Tip: The newer units are very nice and have a great veiw of the lake

As someone who has stayed at robins I can say that the service is nothing like I am reading.
It is correct that this is not a hotel/motel it is not full service cleaning during your stay. There is a towel exchange that is open from 9-12. It is the cleanest place I have stayed at and the staff is exceptional. They work hard to see that needs are seen to the best they can. But we all know there are some people that just can not be satisfied. This is a resort area and it attracts all kinds. Most that come are extremely happy and have been coming for many years and are like family. So to close please remember the fact that there are 2 sides to every story. Do something right nobody remembers do something wrong nobody forgets...Then they write a bad review :)

Room Tip: priced comparable to a hotel but with more to offer.

The furniture looked and smelled like it had been in a frat house for years. It was totally broken down and worn out. The carpet left our feet black, you could have lunched on the amount of food and debris under the furniture, They would not give us a light bulb for the lamp in the basement unit because they "didn't want to start a fire" , the pool looks NOTHING like what they have posted. Don't even THINK about asking for a blanket or clean towels. We had no idea that they had specific hours that you could take your towels and exchange them (they do not service the rooms). I got chewed out and told that it was not McDonalds then had wet towels thrown in my face! Maybe a service industry was the wrong career choice for these people. I have to say, I think the other reviews were plants and not people who actually paid to stay there.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else! If you have no other option then choose one of the condos and NOT one of the dupl...

What a wonderful place to stay! The view out my window was wonderful to wake up to and to look at all day. There was a perfect, large, enclosed patio to sit out on and just watch was going on. There were two pools and a swimming area and my boys loved being able to rent poles for fishing! Can't wait to go back with my family or just with my man!!!

Room Tip: We had ground floor so my mother wouldn't have to worry about steps. No noises or anything to w...

Thank you to the owner/manager of Robin's Resort. On a trip with some friends last week our car needed towed home (5 hours away). The tow truck was late getting to the resort and check-out time was 10 am. She let us stay in our room until the truck finally got there at 1:30! She even moved our room down to the bottom of the list so it wouldn't get rented out before we left. Thank you so much! :)
