The reason we had selected this hotel was that we had stayed here before and we pleased with the rooms and the service. However, this stay changed our opinion. Our first impression was very positive; the person who checked us in on Friday night was friendly, helpful, and courteous. We had booked two rooms since my wife and I had our 2 grandchildren with us. However, when we checked in at the hotel we found out that the rooms were not adjacent. The person working the front desk tried to get us adjacent rooms but was unable to because the hotel was full. From this point things started going downhill quite quickly - It was apparent that neither room had been cleaned or even vacuumed since the last guest had checked out because of the trash on the carpets. Also, in one of the rooms, the towels from a previous occupant were still on the floor and the safety handle on the tub was missing leaving an empty hole. The next morning my grandson and I went to check out the "free breakfast" -there was a single bagel and some cut up sweet roles and juice. Later my wife went with our granddaughter to get some breakfast at 9:30 a.m.(breakfast is scheduled until 10:00 a.m.) At this time the only items left were chocolate covered donuts and juice. The person working the counter didn't make any effort to restock the buffet when asked. Because of the weather we didn't expect to swim but after viewing the pool I would be very hesitant on a hot summer day, the water was green. Needless to say that we will not stay here again and we will be more hesitant to use Days Inn because of this incident.
Make sure that you don';t get a room close to the stairs there is a lot of activity all night.
