We were given the warmest of welcomes from Kathleen and Stuart who went the extra mile to be helpful, transporting us and our bags to and from the ferry and giving us the insider information on where to walk and what to do in our short time on Eigg. Howlin House has been tastefully restored to a high standard with a beautiful bathroom, large comfy beds and views to die for! The breakfast was delicious with the fluffiest scrambled eggs we have ever tasted - ours were made from hens' eggs but we're sure there was a secret ingredient! And we were offered cups of tea and coffee during the day whenever we appeared back at the house just as though we were visiting friends. And let's just mention one more time that fabulous view; we're not surprised Tolkien found his muse in the mesmerising peaks of the Isle of Rum. Thank you both for your hospitality.
