Well after four years in a row and the fifth trip booked for this summer I would like to share a review of Point Randall Resort, Lake Ozark, Missouri. My family vacations to the Ozarks every summer and we look for a “resort” style place to stay. We do not like the big high rise condo style hotels. Point Randall has fit our needs, year after year. We look for clean rooms, nice boat docks and a pool, in that order when looking for a place to stay on the water. The room we stay in is not overly big, but fits our needs. It is well stocked with dishes to cook as well as grill right out side the door. The boat docks are some of the best ones that I have seen anywhere on the lake, they are covered and have power. I do not worry about parking my 2007 boat in the dock. They are well padded and kept up with. The swimming pool is a very nice alternative to swimming in the lake, it has a shallow and deep end. Also there is a set of stairs built into the pool for easy entry.
A couple of great things about the location of Point Randall is being in a cove that is well over a half of a mile long. On busy days the cove is big enough to ski and tube right in the cove, so there is no need to fight the main channel traffic. Also the property is nice and flat for the most part. To get from the parking lot area to the lake area, there is less than 10 stairs to walk up or down. Some of the other places we stayed at in the past were up on a bluff, so there were tons of stairs or some big winding side walk that took 10 minutes to get to the docks.
One of the Best things about Point Randall Resort is the owners Michael and Paulette Spriggs live on property. They are always walking around working on projects or visiting with the guest. They are great people who have made may upgrades to the property over the past four years. We can’t wait to get back this summer to see the new room additions.
