“Great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

This is our 2nd stay at this Hampton Inn. The 2nd time there we liked it even better! The hotel is exceptionally clean and there is a hot tub which my husband always enjoys after a day od driving. The location is great! There are many, many restaurants nearby (Chili's, Red Lobster, Five Guys Burgers as well as Wal-Mart and Target! There is a yogurt spot right next door if you need something sweet. Breakfast in the morning was very good as well. We will be back again!

If there is something that needs improvement it might be that the desk become a little more familiar with nearby restaurants - their menu and their locations. But just drive around and you will find something that meets your needs!

This was our first trip to St. Louis and it happened to coincide with the Cardinals' play-offs. It was difficult to get a hotel downtown. We chose this hotel because of the positive reviews and we were thoroughly delighted. The people of St. Louis were welcoming and hospitable, including everyone we encountered at the hotel, from the night concierge to the housecleaning staff, the daytime desk clerks, the kitchen staff. Everyone treated us with respect. The rooms were spacious and clean and still had the "new house" smell. The bathrooms were likewise clean, everything polished. The amenities included in-room coffee, refrigerator, and microwave, all new and in working condition. The televisions were HD flat panels. There is free wifi, at a medium speed. The complementary breakfast consisted of make-your-own Belgian waffles, fresh fruit, fruit salad, Yoplait yogurt, selection of baked goods (muffins, bagels, bread, danishes, English muffins), sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, milk, juices, coffees, teas, hot cocoa, and USA Today. The only criticism we have was that a few teenage girls were staying there at the same time and seemed to be oblivious to all the other guests: taking up the whole swimming pool for the entire evening, and then taking all the chocolate chip cookies that were offered at night, even stating out loud, "Let's take all the chocolate chip ones." Not the hotel's fault at all---just the fault of the girls, who should have known better.

Room Tip: Fourth floor rooms are accessible by room key only.

We just dropped our daughter off at college and stayed at this Hampton Inn location. The personnel were helpful and friendly - quickly resolving an issue with the hide a bed - with a smile. There was some highway noise, but do to it's convenient location off the highway this is not a surprise. Always helpful to travel with earplugs. We will be back in the future.

If you are headed to St. Louis, and your surname isn't Rockefeller, this is the place to stay. Convenient to the Children's Museum and other attractions, the Hampton Inn Kirkwood/Sunset Hills doesn't have a flaw. The staff is top-notch and the place is clean, clean, clean. Breakfast is bountiful with many healthy choices. And the rates are great!

The Kirkwood area is safe and there are shopping areas nearby. Sure, there may not be a five-star restaurant in the area...but if you are an average American traveler looking for a terrific place to stay-- gives you bang for your buck--this Hampton Inn should be your choice!

Stayed here 4 days first week in June. Not one bad thing to say . Quiet, very clean, very good people there too.Gave us great directions to local attractions. If visiting St Louis we highly recommend this hotel. And we highly recommend that you avoid the Days Inn just down the road from them. If that Days Inn is the only choice ,SLEEP IN YOUR CAR.

Very quiet, clean with a great breakfast and pleasant staff. It is situated in a great location close to all major highways and shopping centers. Unfortunately it does not have a guest laundry so if oyu are planning to stay longer there is a laundry within a few miles.

Room Tip: Anything above the first floor

Just like every Hampton Inn, we have stayed in. This makes the experience delightful as there are usually no surprises. We stayed in Room 106 during a weekend stay and the Television was messed up. It was badly pixelating and loosing signal. A call to the front desk asked me to pull and reset a cord in the back of the TV. So, I was asked to do the maintenance which did not alleviate the problem. Best would have been for the clerk to show some interest in helping us out.
