We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Epress by the Kansas City Airport. We needed a nice room, reasonably priced, close to my brother's house for 5 days because my mother was having surgery. Having never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express I was a bit nervous about booking a room for 5 days without knowing what the rooms were like. Because price and location were important, I had to take the chance and I was not disappointed. Our room was very nice. The beds were very comfortable, the bed linens nice and the room was spacious enough. The closet was somewhat small, but I rarely use the closets when I travel. You could tell the room itself had been remodeled, however, the bathroom needed some work as there were a few cracks in the base of the sink. Aside from that, the shower was great and I liked having the vanity in the bathroom. Each morning a complimentary newspaper (USA Today) was placed at our door, with a wonderful complimentary breakfast which consisted of a variety of danishes, cereal, bacon, bisquits & gravy, scrammbled eggs, french toast, bagels/english muffins, fruit, yogart milk, juices, and fresh coffee available to us. The food was very good and the breakfast nook was inviting. But perhaps the best detail of our stay was the friendly service we received from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left. Everyone was friendly, from the desk personnel to the housekeeping personnel. They truly make one feel welcome & they made our stay very pleasurable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
