“Best Little Mexican Restaurant CHain North of Texas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

One "terrible" review from four years ago should not discourage you in 2013. This place has friendly staff behind the counter who are happy to bring your piping hot fajita platter directly to your table or booth. I drive out of my way to get those "combination fajita platters," while my wife loves their basic "three tacos!" There's something for everyone, from "chicken tortilla soup" to "cheesecake chimichangas," so you'll never leave hungry!

“Good Mexican Chain Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Taco Bueno on Highway 7, Blue Springs Missouri, is a franchise member of a large chain of restaurants. The food is very, very good, with many good choices on the menu board, Meals come with a soft drink (drink all you want) and here is a Mexican salad bar with two choices of salsa (mild or hot),sliced jalapenos, diced onion, salsa pico de geo and other favourite toppings. The price is very reasonable and the café brightly lit, with booths or table and chairs. The staff are friendly and very helpful. My only complaint is there could have been more cheese on my tacos. For a quick Mexican snack at very reasonable prices, you can't go by Taco Bueno.

“At least it's better than the fast food Frankenburger”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

On the positive side, Taco Bueno mixes up their menu and offers a much better alternative to the other so called fast foods. There's a nice salsa/condiment bar that has peppers, pico de gallo and a couple of sauce choices to top your food. Meat quality is decent, particularly on the brisket and steak tacos which are actually quite good. For fast food chain, it's one of the better choices for taste and health.

Minuses are a little higher than the average (because quality is not cheap) and they offer Equal as their sweetener- highly toxic.

“Should be called Taco Atroz”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2009

Visited Taco Bueno near Legends for the first time on a freezing evening with my family. Bad experience.

They hadn't defrosted any of their soup....so had to wait for that. My wife's buritto was cold, which they begrudgingly microwaved for us again. Soup took 15-20 minutes and the staff yelled at us across the restaurant that it was ready (would it have been unreasonable to have them bring it out-there were only two other tables occupied?).

Guess what? The soup was only lukewarm. I complained to the manager (who was really too busy with his bluetooth to bother), No apology. Took our money and left vowing to never return.

I recommend going hungry rather than eat here.
