Our family stayed here to go see a Royals game and enjoy the water park. We took the shuttle to the game, which worked well. We got there on Friday late afternoon, and check-in took a long time. We went to the water park, which had great facilities -- two big water slides, big play structure with multiple smaller slides, other small pools and baby slides, attached snack bar. However, it was way too crowded. We asked for towels twice and were told that they were out (they were also the size of a hand towel). There were many lifeguards, but none of them actually policed activity. We went down the lazy river, and many kids were walking/running down it, right in front of the teenage lifeguards. At one point, a dam of abandoned float rafts were clogging the river, and I saw at least three lifeguards actively look away. I ended up getting them out so that we could get by. I saw a manager walk by and tell a kid to get out of the basketball pool with a river raft, after a teenage lifeguard had just watched him get in. It definitely had the feel of being at a packed municipal pool, not a pricey water park.
