“Great parking spot and a good room”

This hotel is very, very busy but not too busy to be very helpful. Front desk staff was great. The room was fine and clean. Yes, it could use some maintenance on the walls, etc, but it is not excessive. Great shuttle service and you can "park and fly" in a secure, lighted parking lot instead of out and away from the hotel, which I liked Think I'd probably not do the restaurant - expensive and short-staffed when we were there so we ate elsewhere. So close to the airport. Breakfast not included, which for the price I think should be. I will definitely stay here again.

Very nice short stay here. The staff was super friendly and the room was terrific. It had been remodeled and is very clean and appealing. The bed linens felt luxurious. It is a breeze to get to the airport from here. We didn't eat there so can't advise on that. Definitely would stay there again when in town.

Arrived for a convention on Friday afternoon, wasn't able to check in and get a room till after 5pm. Went to the restaurant for dinner, only 1 waitress, and she wasn't in a hurry to do anything. Restaurant was full, again there was a convention next door. The staff acted like they had no expectation of being busy, despite knowing there was a convention at the KCI Expo center next door. Poorly insulated, could hear every step in the hallway and even the one above. No stairs, had to wait for elevator. This was the 6th LWML convention, and these facilities were the worst.

Dear Jon B,

Thank you for your recent review of our property and please accept our sincere apologies for any discomfort or dissatisfaction experienced with your stay. We anticipated the level of business volume with the convention group and thought we had staffed accordingly based on the food events taking place at the Expo Center. Obviously, more people chose to eat at the hotel and not at the planned meals at the convention resulting un long waits. Again, we apologize for this and will work to improve for future events.

We advertise our check in time as 3:00 PM and do our very best to meet that promise each day. Unfortunately this did not happen on your arrival day. We have a wonderful housekeeping staff who worked very hard to turn the hotel preparation for your groups arrival. We are very proud of the job they did but know we also need to improve so we can meet the 3:00 PM goal.

Thank you again for your comments and pointing our areas where improvement is needed. We hope that you will understand that your experience was the exception rather than the rule and that you will continue to utilize Holiday Inn hotels for your future lodging needs.

This hotel is in a good location right by the airport and about 15 min to downtown. Check in was a breeze and the room was fine. It has not been remodeled to have the new holiday Inn rooms but it was comfortable. The only complaint would be the hallways. They had tons of scuff marks and needed painting. Otherwise it was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Would stay again.

By far a 5 star hotel. The font desk staff was very accommodating and provided lots of information about the area. The room was squeaky clean and fresh. I encourage anyone staying near the airport to use this hotel.

We few in early Friday for an event at the expo center. The shuttle picked us up from the airport after a quick call to the hotel. The front desk got us checked in quickly, explained where things were in the hotel and the card worked when we made it up to our room. We played in the pool, the beds were fine, 2 styles of pillows, tv was cool. The room temperate was adjustable and comfortable. The bath tub was a like shallow but no big deal. The restaurant however is BAD. Service was horrible, twice! Dinner and breakfast. Servers don't know what they are doing and seem put off that we were there. Took 10 minutes before we were greeted at a table for breakfast and dinner the night before was just as bad except the food was worse. There is another hotel close with and amazing staff and good food and great beer. The food service at the Holliday was bad enough that next time I'll stay at the other place.

It was our halfway stop to the Chicago area. The staff was extremely helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. The breakfast buffet was fresh with great fruits eggs and meats. I would definitely recommend stopping here. Priced right as well as food and drinks.
