What a great find! This Hilton property is a restored classic hotel that originally opened in the 1920s. The lobby is amazing and there are classic touches throughout the property. The front desk staff and valet/bell staff were friendly and helpful.

My room was spacious and impeccably clean with modern amenities. The hotel lounge is very reasonably priced and was hopping the couple of times I stopped in. The location is another great plus for this property. You can easily walk to all entertainment locations (Power & Light District, Sprint Center, etc.) as well as the Convention Center. There is self and valet parking for between $15-20 a night.

If you need to stay downtown, this is the spot.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton President Hotel in Kansas City for a weekend. Everything about the stay from the location, to the friendliness of the staff, to the price was excellent! The Hotel is located 3 blocks from the Sprint Center, and the Power and Light (entertainment) district fills those 3 blocks. Needless to say, there is nearly an unlimited number of things to do in this area in the form of clubs, restaurants, bars, and everything that the Sprint Center attracts. Just 3 blocks the other way is Bartle Hall, a huge conference center that hosts a multitude of exhibitions, shows, and conferences.

The rooms were beautifully appointed, seemed sound proof, and offered a great view of Kansas City. The staff was always friendly and available, but not overbearing. Since the hotel is a completely restored and updated version of the 1926 original, it takes on more of a boutique hotel quality. The lobby can bring back images of what KC must have been like in the roaring 20's! And at a weekend rate of $104/night, this hotel is a definite "must stop" if you're in Kansas City for either business or entertainment.

I came to Kansas City on business and from The minute I walked in I was treated like family. The front desk staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are spacious, clean and very eloquently decorated. If I ever come back to KC I would not hesitate to stay at this historical boutique gem again.

We stayed at the Hilton President Hotel while we were in Kansas City for a concert at the Sprint Center. The hotel was very close to the Power and Light district. Finding the parking lot for us was a bit of an issue, but that’s because of friends checked in for us. Once we found the parking lot there was a little miscommunication with the garage guard that was trying to double charge us to park. Since there was an event at the sprint center that evening they were limiting each room to one vehicle. We had four vehicles between all of the couples attending the concert so our friends paid the event parking fee at the front desk when they checked in for the extra two cars. The garage guard was not pleased even though we had tags from the front desk and tried to make us pay again. After arguing with him for five minutes and everyone out of our cars he finally let us through. Although before we arrived he sent one of our friends to park on the street and didn’t give him the option to event park, but offered it to his wife a minute after her husband had left with the car. Regardless of the parking situation the hotel was great! The bathroom was huge and the beds were very comfortable. They have great down comforters and pillows on their beds. The Sprint Center is about two blocks from the hotel making it easy to get to. We had a few drinks and dinner at Power and Light before heading to the concert and returned to power and light once it was over. I wasn’t feel well that evening so I headed back to the hotel by myself and felt completely safe in the neighborhood. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
