We've been eating here for years, and I still can't believe this place isn't packed every time we walk in the door. It seems people will crowd into the "Mexican" chain restaurants in this area but haven't eaten here, and that is a shame.
I'm a vegetarian, and my husband eats almost anything, and we are both consistently happy with every item we order from the menu. And believe me, with all our visits over the years, we have tried many, many items. I was partial to a vegetarian combination that was on their old menu, but my new favorite is the tacos camellitos, which are a simple bean/cheese/salsa combo grilled up on fresh corn tortillas. I'm not an adventurous eater, and I don't like spicy. What I do like is how consistently fresh and delicious that food I order here is.
My husband likes it all, and we bring friends, relatives, and out-of-towners here (and to the new Lee's Summit location, too) with not one complaint so far.
