“Best Classic/Classy Restuarant in Kansas City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

I always enjoy my self at The Savoy. The staff always make you feel very special. You get 2 servers. One for food and drinks and the other for all the other little things. This is a very "old school" restaurant with plenty of charm. It's perfect for an intimate meal or a special occasion. The menu has the usual Steak and Seafood items served to perfection. I love to go right before a show since it is in the downtown area. Give it a try. You will be very pleased and your special someone will be very, very happy with your selection.

“our favorite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Love the food, love the service, love the knowledgeable staff, love the personal touches. True, the restaurant needs a faceklift, but we find that charming---rather like an elderly aunt wearing too much rouge because she can't see!

“Old School Elegance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

I have been going to Savoy for years, It is like stepping back into 1890,A truly wonderful place. Some waiters have been working there 30+ years. The menu was designed 100 years ago for cattle and railroad barons and is truly awesome. The place just oozes history....Elegant Dining...The Best

“Best food in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

I've been going to the Savoy since I was a child. We decided to try it again - after all these years out of town - it was fabulous. Best lobster in the midwest....terrific servers...try the crab meat cocktail appetizer...

“A Must in KC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

I love everything about this restaurant. You come here when you want to have dinner as the main even in your evening. Loved the history of the restaurant, all 100 + years of it. Our waiter told us some fascinating stories of ghosts that haunt the restaurant and hotel, and all the celebrities/politicians etc who have come through. We had an entire wait staff for our table. All the food was declicious and prepared perfectly. The steak was the best we'd ever had, along with the swordfish. The basket of fresh-baked dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls were a happy suprise. We ordered an after-dinner cocktail, and no one hurried us out. It was a great place to relax, have a family dinner, talk. Slow paced, not noisy at all. It was my first time there and I was blown away. The prices are a little high, but I'd encourage everyone to go. It's like stepping back in time. Fantastic.
