I've been to CG in Denver, Indianapolis, Chicago, Baltimore... and the Kansas City location continues to be the only one I return to.
The Capital Grille has always been synonymous with service, but you will notice a trend with the ratings of this particular location: The Serving Staff.
They know their stuff, but are 'so good' about how they deliver their knowledge. There's always this fine line all servers walk in upper-tier restaurants in this regard. Too much information can come across as 'snobbish,' or make some patron a bit uncomfortable about ordering EXACTLY what they may have in mind.
The staff here is trained impeccably well. Each server seems so engaged in what they do, but they also are not afraid to have a little fun!
I have even joked around with servers here about how they put 'grass-fed' steaks as a 'special.' LOL (grass fed beef is AWFUL with no flavor and horrendous texture)
Some important points:
-Enjoy the bar prior to being seated, fantastic martinis and a grand selection of Scotch and Whiskey
-Dress up and never feel out of place! Many attractive patrons at this location
-Dare I say 'romantic?' Certainly. The service definitely adds to the ambience
-One of the better Valet services here
-Order the Kobe when available!
-HIGHLY suggest the Wagyu Carpaccio
