Description: The Majestic Restaurant carries on the Kansas City traditions of great food and great jazz. We serve brunch Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday-Friday, and dinner seven nights a week. Featuring Kansas City's best dry-aged beef, chops, and seafood and located in the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building at 10th and Broadway in downtown Kansas City, The Majestic Restaurant offers a true Kansas City dining experience like no other. Enjoy a great steak and fine wine in our main dining room alongside a grand bar dating back to 1910, or have dinner in our lower level jazz club, the site of an actual speakeasy during prohibition, all while listening to some of Kansas City's best jazz musicians seven nights a week. An extensive wine list, creative cocktails by nationally renowned bartender Shawn Moriarty, a list of over 100 whiskeys, and a sinful selection of delectable homemade desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to the meal and the music.

“WOW - Just wow”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

Food was awesome with interesting daily specials. Drink menu was very reasonable. Party of six business associates on a Sat. night .....staff was accommodating without being overbearing. We enjoyed the history of the building as well as the Jazz. The basement looked like a great place for a date!

“trip back in time.............”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

When we walked in i thought we were in a place that was straight from 1920's. When i asked how old the bar was i was told over 103 years. they asked us if we wanted to sit up stairs or in the basement and listen to old time jazz. we chose down stairs..what a great choice. THE MUSIC ON FRIDAY NIGHT IS OUTSTANDING. The restaurant has plenty of room between tables and the band plays right there. The food was very good we shared a few ap's between three guys, the fried rice rositto, the goat cheese, and the spinach dip all were plenty to feed 5 people. all very good. Second course was soup (tomato) was excellent and a ceasar salad that was good also. Now the main course steaks.... not a real big cut but was cooked the way we ordered. the asparagas were good and the twice baked potatoe was fair at best.......... didnt eat dessert as we were filled.....i would be back next time in Kansas city

“Dinner at the Majestic”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

The food was overpriced and horrible. They are resting on their laurels of yester year. The Manhattans are excellent.
