“Great Location in Kansas City!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Stayed two nights in one of the loft suites. Room was comfortable, spacious, and tastefully decorated. Within easy walking distance to the Power & Light district attractions! Room service is exceptional and provided by an on-site restaurant (the Reserve). Bottled water and Keurig coffees were provided and replenished daily. Gated parking next to hotel was included with our room rate. Would stay again next time we are in the area!

This is a beautiful hotel located just a couple blocks from Sprint Center and the Power & Light District. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. They also have a shuttle service that will take you within a five mile radius. We didn't use the shuttle service, since we were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to go. Steamboat Arabia is about 7 blocks away and the National World War I museum is about 12 to 15 blocks away. Recommend this hotel!!

Only a year old this hotel is making its mark in KC. The decor is modern without going overboard. The staff and service top notch and the location is within walking distance of the Sprint Center financial and entertainment district. If you can't walk it they have a Caddy Escapade to ferry you within a five mile radius.
Breakfast is wonderful and a bargain. Small and friendly this new hotel tries harder to impress.

Recently my husband had to be in Kansas City on business and I, of course, tagged along......and I'm so glad I did! Our stay at the Ambassador was perfectly delightful.....beautiful hotel, heavenly beds, an amazing staff and the best smoked salmon salad I've ever eaten in my life! As a matter of fact, everything we ate in the restaurant was amazingly delicious. Shaun Brady, the Executive Chef came out and chatted with us the last night we were there and even hand cut a KC sirloin to match our individual appetites....and was it ever good.....ohhhh, that Truffle butter! Would we come back? Absolutely yes.....again and again!

I'm a KC guy who loves surprising his wife with Stay-cations. (Additionally, it is important for my business to know about all the hotels in town.) Ambassador was next on the list...and the wait was worth it. I am a little OCD about cleanliness when I travel and this property even smelled brand-new-fresh! The bed linens and white fluffy towels were perfectly soft and absorbent. The menu from the Reserve (in house restaurant0 was delicious..even in room service!

For breakfast, I forgot to specify which type of tea I preferred and an assortment was brought. I'm a big fresh brewed tea drinker and with just a phone call, 10 of the one I liked were delivered within five minutes. When I called down for a newspaper, though there wasn't one in the lobby, an employee went out and bought one. It was at my door with 20 minutes...no charge. Incredible.

The parking lot is right next door..no garage or long walk. From welcome cookies to check out ease...we felt very pampered and can't wait to tell our friends and clients.

The Ambassador is Kansas City's quiet little jewel. I'm so glad I "discovered" it!

Room Tip: The Loft Suite (two stories) was worth every penny. Very airy and spacious.
