“Nice Hotel. Great Customer Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

here it is.....

Parking..
Utilized the Valet.. Very helpful and accomodating. They do have a shuttle to take you to nearby locations but did not utilize it. We walked via the skywalk to nearby shopping areas.

Entrance..
Is a normal large convention/conference style hotel..

Front Desk..
Were very friendly and helpful.. Went out of there way to accommodate locating a fan for us. Provided extra pillows and towels very promptly.

Hotel..
Like I mentioned it is built for conferences or conventions.. It's large with plenty of people walking around at all times.. It is in the center of their plaza and a short walk to shops and restaurants via their skywalk.

Room.
Was very comfortable. Spacious..Beds were very comfortable and I would best describe them as medium to firm beds.. Plenty of pillows. Linen and comforter were very soft and inviting.

Bathroom..
Normal size. Shower was spacious.. No problems with the hot water.. Towels were soft..

I did not experience the in-house restaurant due to the spouse wanting to visit a nearby Italian restaurant..

Summary.
All in all it was a very pleasant stay. Very comfortable..

Will visit again when back in KC.

We had a nice stay on New Year's Eve. The only thing that marred our stay was the room next door that several noisy young people were staying in. The manager talked to them once, but they were at it again at 2:30 am. The manager did compensate us for little sleep.

I was disappointed to hear you did not get much sleep - please accept my apologies. I am glad that our Manager was able to compensate for the issues you experienced. We hope you give us a second chance!

Stayed at the Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza hotel for two nights during December 2014. The hotel is very conveniently located to the Country Club Plaza area of Kansas City if you are wanting to experience the Plaza lights during the holidays. Valet park your vehicle and have the hotel shuttle take you back and forth to the Plaza as parking is very limited on the Plaza. We stayed to attend a KC Chiefs football game. The hotel is also within walking distance (couple of blocks) to the Plaza area. The front desk staff, bell staff and shuttle drivers are all very accommodating. There is a nice bar area and the hotel and our room was very well cared for. We would stay here again. We did not use any of the facilities such as the fitness center so I can't comment on that part of the hotel. Overall, very nice and reasonably priced for the quality.

Room Tip: Plaza view if you want to see the lights

This is a nice traditional downtown type hotel. We usually stay further away from the town center in a mid-range hotel, but decided to stay closer to the plaza and try a more upscale hotel via Priceline. The hotel was nice, staff friendly, they have a free shuttle to the plaza as they are several blocks away from the prime shopping area. The hotel has been updated, carpets and walls are very nice, beds were supportive yet not hard. The room was quiet.

We love this hotel. The staff went out of their way when we arrived late from our flight due to weather. We were in a queen two bed room that had room for luggage and very comfortable beds. I liked the décor. The lobby was welcoming. I really don't like the new wave of sterile and simple. The receptionist a gem.
We had come for a funeral so we needed quiet and to compose ourselves to say goodbye to a dear friend. Again, the staff was awesome. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant each morning, a very lovely buffet, that had everything including the best coffee I had had in a while. They were going to help us get to the cemetery but we had rented a car. When we returned the hotel was a buzz due to the jet fly over of the city which was a tribute to our friend. The receptionist asked and several hotel staff gave their condolences. We were surprised at this kind gesture. Celebrities performing at a few of the theaters stayed also at this hotel.
Dining in the downtown area was wonderful. The staff provided a shuttle so they take you where you need to go and you do not need to repark the car to drive. You call and they come. We have family here, but prefer to stay at a hotel so I think this will be our place for many visits in the future! Thank you!!

Obviously recently re-done, the property is very pleasant aesthetically and well laid out. Our room was large with plenty of space, and the view of the Plaza was great.

Disappointing breakfast/coffee options (there is a small Starbucks in the lobby) in an area that doesn't really offer much more. Would have been nice to have better/more options for on site "morning" food.

While the bed was great (lots of pillows, great linens), the furniture was both small and uncomfortable. I realize you don't check into a hotel to lounge on the sofa/chair, but we ended up back on the bed....only comfortable place to sit.

They DO have the parking thing sorted out! Most inner city hotels fail here. Your room key gets you access. GREAT system.

Overall, a good value, and a nice property that is conveniently located.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that offers a view of the Plaza.

Thanks for the review Bryan! We do have a full service restaurant on our second floor that has a full buffet with omelet station and cook to order eggs available - or an a la carte menu as well. The lobby restaurant for breakfast Café Express has quick to go items like bagels and donuts, granola etc. and Starbucks Coffee.

I was concerned to hear of the comfort level with the in room furniture - we will be undergoing a complete renovation in late 2015 which will address this issue - we hope to have you back to give us another try when you come up from Texas again.

This hotel was perfect for our convention. We had a small group of about 60 and I did not hear one complaint about anything. I read some reviews saying that the hotel seemed "dated", but I never saw an area of the hotel that needed work. The staff was very attentive and the valet guys were more than accommodation. Using the shuttle to get to the plaza was very helpful. Overall this hotel was perfect for us and I would recommend it for business of pleasure.

Room Tip: Get a plaza view room.
