“Thanks for the preservation/restoration”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

This is an icon in the Kansas City area. There are several exhibits displayed there on any given day/months. The IMAX theater is good. I am a little disappointed after going to the union station in Omaha. I wish there was more interaction as to what/where/who rode the trains over the years and some explanation for future visitors. Overall, love the building and thank you KC for her restoration.

“Beautiful Building! Enjoyed the Real Pirates exhibit.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

The entire family enjoyed the building. The Real Pirates exhibit was great with actors, interesting artifacts and tons of information. I wish there were more attractions but the kids loved Science City and I liked walking around and reading about the railroad. There is not a fee to enter the building but you have to pay to enter the different exhibits.

“Nice building with little to do”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

We went there as we drove around downtown KC. The building is very nice, but the Imax movie theater and science museum did not catch our attention. I would not recommend this place unless your kids love museums or want to catch an Imax movie

“Has potential”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Union station has potential to be a fantastic social adventure for Kansas City, but can't quite get it together. Restaurants come and go because of lack of customers. Science City is something of a joke. Many of the educational activities are broken or unmanned. Occasionally there is a special event or attraction that brings a little life to the place.
It's all such a shame because the building is old, historic and beautiful.
