“Stuff to see and things to do. A good day trip.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

We usually go down a couple of times a year. Catching a meal at Pierpont's is always good. Roam through the little Irish museum presently tucked in downstairs. Walk over to the Freight House area and catch a great meal at any one of several resturaunts there (Lydia's etc). Walk the other way to Crown Center for shopping, a play, more places to eat. Plus of course RR related exhibits.

“SCIENCE OF ROCK AND ROLL”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We always enjoy a trip to Union Station. This time we chose to visit the Science of Rock and Roll Exhibit. The exhibit is in the basement - easy enough to get to on escalator or elevator; however, we did have to backtrack and get our tickets because they're not sold where you enter the exhibit. Additionally, not all the special effects worked at the exhibit. Overalll, it was a pretty good experience, and the price was discounted that weekend. Union Station is fun to visit, and just across the street is the Crown Center.

“Renovated treasure.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

A glimpse back in time, beautifully restored. A great place to spend a few hours walking around, then stop for a glass of wine and a meal at Pierponts. Very cool if you like architecture.

“A Taste of Yesterday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

This is a charming train station that always seems to have special attractions for another visit. This time it was a salute to Rock and Roll(honestly after visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, this left us very disappointed). The vistor's center is very helpful and the curio shop inside has some very unique items to purchase. Also, the station is connected to the Crown Center by way of a skyway and it is worth the walk to go over and see the 5 story indoor waterfall.

“Impressive yet disapointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

As a tourist attraction this building is worth a visit ,but a short one I feel. An impressive piece of architectural history but once you have see it there is little more to hold your attention. Would I say its a must visit? well if your staying in KC then yes ,but only in passing
