“Great memories for a long time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

I grew up in Joplin and loved this park from a kid to now as an adult. It is neat to see it when I return home for the holidays.

“better than before”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

This park is across the street from the old St John's Medical Center that was destroyed in the May 11th tornado of 2011. The park was totally destroyed too. Since then, the park has been rebuilt with all new up to code play equipment and newly planted trees. A new and beautiful little pond with a waterfall stands on the grounds of this formerly destroyed park. There is more to add, and this is a good place to let the kids run off some built up energy from a long drive and for you to stretch your legs too.

“A nice park, but only because it was once destroyed.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

If it wasn't for our EF-5, this park would probably still just be an average park. The restoration & memorial tribute to those lost to the storm make this park a bit somber. I can't put this park down, it's just a shame that it took a tragedy to upgrade this park. Much insider local politics went into the restoration, which will mainly be unknown except to a few.

“Sweet”

This is such a sweet little park. You can feel the love and kindness that went into restoring it after the tornado.

“Nice tribute park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Like the park wish there was a fence thou, not a lot for little kids under 3. Took are three grandsons and it was hard but still a very nice park.
