“Worked for a night”

My wife and I spent the night here after attending the Georgia-Mizzou football game before driving back to St. Louis to catch our flight home the next day. The staff at check-in was helpful and courteous. The room was spacious but needed a little updating. All apliances in the room were in working order. The computer in the business center was not working so I couldn't print our boarding passes and check in for our flight. Not to disparage Jefferson City but this isn't really a place one is going to come and vacation for a week so the HI Express was fine for an overnight stopover. On a side not I didn't use the pool but was weird to find it in the basement level.

We are under new management and we hope you will give us a try next time you are in Jefferson City. We have refreshed many items on our property including new linens and pillows. We have new carpet! We do have the business center up and running! We are definitely working on making improvements because we want our guests to have an amazing experience with us!

Apparently, this location is in transition. From what I learned, there was a recent management change, and the result was a very poorly maintained hotel. HIE is a hotel group that prides itself on customer satisfaction. My history with them is almost of perfect experiences. After 3 room changes, the 3rd of which was an "upgrade" into the honeymoon suite, were it not so late, I'd have changed hotels. Nasty. Unbelievably bad bed conditions and awful, incomplete housekeeping. Wasn't comfortable about trying the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Don't judge the hotel chain based on this review and give this property a chance. Please, however, carefully check the room before you take your socks off to relax.

Our very nice and was clean, it could have used a floor lamp behind the reading chair, but in our case did not really matter. Breakfast were tasty and filling.What really made the stay noteworthy was the staff, everyone was so nice and cheerful, but Miss Kelly seems to be the heart of the hotel. Thank you for the stay, we will return.

The clerk was new and told us we have to call the 800 reservation number in order to get the AARP rate. I thought this was unusual, but I was willing to call for the extra savings. Then the Supervisor came out and told her that was not necessary. That was straightened out so we went to our room. I am used to HIE being much cleaner. The bathroom floor was really not clean. Overall the entire place shoud be updated. There is such a large gap at the bottom of the door that we took towels from the pool room and stuffed them under the door to help stop the noise from the hall. Before we did that it was as though the door was open. Then there was breakfast. We came down around 8am and both containers of coffee were cold. I told the lady that was working the breakfast room and she said she is making some more coffee. Well, we ate our breakfast without coffee. It was done after we were finished. We didn't even try it the next morning as we were leaving. I will stay across the highway at the Best Western the next time we are in town.

Business stay. Friendly & helpful staff.

Rooms are large, clean, and amazingly quiet considering the hotel is close to a major highway.

Beds are semi firm, and I had no trouble sleeping. Flat screen TVs whith a large selection of channels. Microwave & Fridge. Nice work area, but only one outlet. Heat & AC was quiet. Breakfast was the usual HI Exp.

Restaurants, and convenience stores close by. I have no doubt I will return on the next trip to the area.

Must stress on the super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are old fashioned but clean. Average breakfast. Absolutely no complaints, will stay there when I am in Jeff City in Jan.
