For this 5-year old hotel, we were disappointed when entering the lobby that there were no cookies or coffee available. Having those available when arriving at the hotel is just a nice treat for the traveler. We were told that they were provided during the week but not on the weekend. Why??????? That ought to change.
Putting that aside, we always enjoy staying at Best Westerns because they are usually clean, comfortable, have friendly staff, and provide a nice hot breakfast. We enjoyed all of these at this stay in Jefferson City. This hotel is conveniently located on the southwest side of town just off Rt. 54. The covered drive-thru was clean and neat, and the automatic doors make easy entrance/exit to the lobby. The lobby was attractive with quite a lot of seating area with a nice flat screen TV to watch. Check-in was quick with a friendly staff. The hotel accommodated our requests to be placed on the top floor away from elevators and vending areas. We really liked the brightly lit halls with clean carpet. There are several eating places nearby, some within walking distance.
Capital Inn provides a 24 hr. fitness center with 4 machines and a private business center with 2 computers. There is an indoor pool and spa with a handicap chair assist on both.
Our king room was neat and clean with a sofa and chair, a desk and arm chair. coffee table, microwave, fridge, chest of drawers, a nice size flat screen TV with a clean remote and good channel lineup, some being HD. Coffee and tea were available. Free Wi-fi was available in the room.
The bath was all in one room with a large vanity and mirror. An exhaust fan (which really worked) was provided. A rubber mat was placed for use in the shower/tub combo unit.
The hot breakfast was very good and attended to by Mary, a very friendly hostess. Seating was available for more that 40 people. Everything was good--scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits with sausage gravy, potatoes, machine-made hot waffles, cereals, apples, juices, good coffee, pastries and toasts. We really like BW using fiberboard cups, plates, and bowls to be more eco-friendly.
When in Jeff City, you will truly enjoy your stay at BW Capital Inn Plus.

Dale,
I am happy to hear you enjoyed your recent stay with us! I hope you have had a chance to enjoy our chocolate chip cookies during a stay on a week night. We bake them fresh Monday through Thursday evenings. We welcome you to enjoy our premium Douwe Egberts coffee at any time during your stay. It is always hot and fresh in the Breakfast Room with flavored creamers to top it off if you like.
Thank you for recognizing our use of fiberboard products for breakfast. This is only one of the many initiatives we follow to bring guests an eco-friendly night’s stay. We follow many green practices such as linen & towel reuse programs, guest room temperature control systems, and most recently, nearly 100 LED light fixtures and 216 solar panels to reduce and produce energy.
We look forward to accommodating you when you visit Jefferson City in the future. You can look forward to a friendly, clean and green stay!
