I've visited family in the Cape Girardeau/Jackson area for years and this is the first time I've had an enjoyable restaurant experience! Most restaurants in town are chains. Tractors offered a cute atmosphere (the theme is of course tractors, but it's not overdone) in an old downtown building with exposed brick. Everything seemed fresh -- I had a lovely salad with apples & dried cranberries and a homemade poppy seed dressing that wasn't overly sweet. We did have SLOW service, and 1 of our party had a burger which was dry and overcooked -- maybe it waited too long while the rest of our food was prepared? Another of our party had a chicken-fried steak with green beans, and contrary to the other reviewer's statement, the beans looked fresh, green, and delicious!
