“Great coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013 via mobile

Not my first visit to this bakery, as a cyclist in the area I will often stop here for coffee and a sandwich as I meet up with my partner for a lunch break. Great food and coffee. Staff friendly and attentive. The place is popular with cyclists, locals and tourists and is open 7 days a week. It also has a sister bakery in Dodges Ferry.

“Breakfast at Richmond Bakery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

I'm from the UK on a tour of Tasmania and we decided to go slightly off our route from Port Arthur to Freycinet to visit the historic town of Richmond, and have breakfast there.

Everything about the Bakery is good. A mouthwatering variety of pies, scones, cakes etc to eat in or takeaway. Seating inside and out. Great friendly service, good value, no muzak thankfully and the best coffee I've had so far in 3 weeks down under. Just wish I didn't live thousands of miles away and could come again.

While in Hobart for 4 days I ate scallop pie in the 3 different places. The pie at the Richmond Bakery was by far the best! Do not miss it!!

“Best Pie”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Was told to go to Richmond and get a scallop pie. We did. It was our first stop in the campervan. Bakery was busy so we got takeaway and sat in the park. Our scallop pie was amazing. The current slice was good too.
