“dramatic recreation of an old lady in her cottage”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

What a remarkable job Miriam has done . She has furnished the cottage with loads of clutter similar to how it must have looked in the 19th and early 20th century. She gives a realistic portrayal of Grannie Rhodes in telling the audience her story from England to Australia and on to the time when Miriam bought the cottage. There is still no water or power and is more or less as it was in Grannie Rhodes' day..

“A beautiful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012 via mobile

A visit to meet Grannie would have to rate as one of our most enjoyable experiences. Richmond (not far out of Hobart) is a delightful town and Grannie Rhodes is the star. For a delightful visit into history, so beautifully presented, I would thoroughly recommend a visit. It was a great pleasure to meet Grannie.

“A great glimpse into the past.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012 via mobile

Even my five year old was riveted for the whole 45 minutes.

Miriam interweaves her own story with the stories of the family that once owned this small cottage. She tells the story in verse and it transports you through time. Very interesting and intriguing, and even a little bit spooky.
