“One of the most memorable experiences of our Mexican adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

This food needs to be available everywhere. Non-gluten, 100% fruit smoothies, fantastic buckwheat pancakes. Memorable, nutritious and easily digested vegetarian dishes made from local organic ingredients; sesame butter made from pounded seeds used on a pancake instead of a dairy butter, almonds are soaked overnight to be more digestible (who knew that?). This is a food offering with principles - Sayulita will be accessible from Puerta Vallerta from 2014 via British Airways from the UK I think.

“Lovely food, lovely people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

We ate at L'Esperenza twice - delicious food, the healthy element was just an ancillary bonus! Also lovely coffee and smoothies, wi fi and a nice atmosphere. The staff were so kind amd gave us the recipes that we particularly liked. A real oasis in Sayulita!

“Best Healthy Meal I had in Mexico!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

If you are looking for a healthy mexican meal this is THE place... The small family run restaurant is one of the very very few places in Mexico that serve organic food, not only healthy but delicious as well... service is great as it is very personal.

Try the pancake and the mango, coconut and berries smoothie for breakkie and the fish tacos for lunch with a cucumber water, really fresh!

Price is really acceptable for organics which is very hard to find in Mexico, not the cheapest in town (obvious) but really good value. I ate there almost every day and will come back for sure.

“a sanctuary in Sayulita”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

La Esperanza (aka Hope Cafe) is a little piece of heaven in an already wonderful Sayulita. After a few days in Mexico, we were in serious need for some vegetables + healthy grub. I ate there five times total and every meal was healthy, delicious, wholesome and served with a smile (La Esperanza is owned by a lovely husband + wife). All the food is organic, which obviously comes with a higher price tag, but worth every penny. Highlights were: ginger-sesame fish stir-fry, smoothies & green juices (all), and chocolate pudding. I look forward to returning to Sayulita later this year and visiting my favorite cafe!
