This odd little spot if full of character and great food. Little more than a small kitchen under a hut, with an outdoor clay oven. Attached to the hut are single row seats, on swings. The tables are scattered on the grass amongst trees - wear a natural bug spray!
The chef prepares new dishes daily based on what’s available in the market and the latest catches from the ocean. Hand made pasta is the key here: spaghetti, fettuccine, gnocchi, tortellini and arancini. You can walk up to the kitchen and ask the chef and ask what’s cooking, let your nose decide which dish you will have that night.
The most unique dish that night was gnocchi with shrimps and carrot sauce. The gnocchi, like all their pasta dishes, was very al dente. The result was a delightful texture – chewy without being doughy. The shrimp was sauteéd perfectly, while the carrot sauce, which seemed almost too subtle at first bite, complemented the texture and flavour of the gnocchi very well.
