“Great outdoor seating to people watch!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

Had dinner outdoors on the busy sidewalk. Fun spot to take in the sights and smells of a crowded Friday night out in Sayulita. Love the casual atmosphere on the street. Food was great, drinks weak, service was good, cost was just a little high. Will definitely go back!

“Over-rated!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

We ate at the Sayulita Cafe twice. The first time was pretty good. Mahi Mahi fresh and the chili relleno's were good, too. Servers were attentive. The owner even introduced himself to us, which may explain our crummy second experience.

On the second visit, he wasn't. Our food was luke warm. Worst of all, our waiter kept 100 peso's to himself when we asked for our change back (so we could leave a tip). When he returned our change (sent a busboy to do it) we were short 100 peso's! Needless to say, he didn't get a dime more. Really made us angry. We specifically asked for all of our change back.

“Our favorite service and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

This was the first restaurant we ate in during our trip to Sayulita and it was our best overall food experience there. Service was great! Our waiter and the host checked on us periodically to make sure our drinks were replenished and asked how the food was. Both of our dinners were plentiful and delicious- especially the chile rellenos (one cheese and one shrimp). The portions were large, seasonings were on spot! And we loved their salsas. Would definately go back here because of the service and food.

“Our favorite Sayulita restaurant.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

We go here the first night we arrive every time we come. Our favorite dish is the mulcahete - (mool-cah-hay-tay) which is enough for 2 - chicken, beef, sausage (chorizo), cactus, cheese (panela), spring onions, and radish in a fabulous salsa all presented in an aztec raised bowl with beans, guacamole, salsas, and tortillas (200 pesos - about $16). No kidding. They are also famous for chile rellenos. Very friendly staff and owner.

“Great food/Good value”

Always busy, great food, great selection and very reasonable prices (for a sit down type of restaurant in Sayulita)!
