“Our favourite beach bar/restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We go here every afternoon for lunch. My favourite is the prawn ceviche...so delicious and served with crisp tacos. We might have a cold corona with lime, or a margarita. We love the service, and the waiters take good care of us. Some people are put off by the vendors but oh well, it is mexico, the beach, and people are trying to make a living. You can ask for a card to put on your table asking them not to bother you. The chairs are the sling canvas ones and the only ones I could sit comfortably during the last visit as I had a very sore back then.

“Dinner on the Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Lovely seafood, great staff and good value. Second visit for us and still great. There is nothing like watching the kids surf while drinking Margaritas and eating fish that was just caught...

“Alberto!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Visited Sayulita Saturday, March 30th. Alberto not only reserved us a front row spot (prime real estate) on the beach but was attentive and took amazing care of us especially considering it was the day before Easer and the beach was a wave of people. Thank you Alberto, can't wait to visit again!!!

“Absolutely Fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

My husband and I went to Sayulita on March 23, 2013 for a day trip and to have lunch at Captain Cooks. A friendly waiter found a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the surfers and action on the beach. This waiter was Ernesto. We could not have asked for better service. He was exceptional! The lunch we had was the Mahi Mahi, stuffed with seafood. We had never tasted anything like it. It was scrumptious! The atmosphere, the view, the food and the service, were what made our trip memorable. Thank you Ernesto! We hope to see you next year. We will be back again, hopefully next year!

“The location is the best feature.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

My family and I just dined at Captain Cooks, and I have to say, after all the other rave reviews, I was a little disappointed in the food. The setting is lovely and the servers were all very attentive. They were all out of their house specialty, the red snapper, unless you wanted to buy the entire 4 pound fish. I had one of their mahi mahi specialty dishes instead. It was fine but not that great. My husband enjoyed his fish burrito. The margaritas were fine. If you want to dine right on the beach, this is a great option, but there are plenty of other places to get great food in Sayulita.
