Description: This restaurant is just off the square in downtown Sayulita. It is an absolutely great and unusual place to have breakfast, a local secret that could be enjoyed by all travelers. The food is extremely well thought out, and unusual, and among the best breakfasts I have had anywhere in the world and I travel the world. It is run by two expat school teachers who make you feel so at home and they sing and have children draw and put up their work, announce it even, and at the end of breakfast offer everyone a free pancake. You need to list this place. IZB

“You cannot come to Sayulita without a visit to Rollie's!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is our 6th year visiting Sayulita and we wouldn't miss breakfasts at Rollie's for anything!
Jeanie and Rollie are the most delightful couple. Rollie is a real character with a booming voice and a larger than life personality. As a retired educator, he has a wonderful gift for being able to make a child feel special by using that booming voice to get everyone's attention so that he can make a fuss over a child and his artwork. Jeanie and Rollie are "hands on" owners who are very welcoming and pay attention to every detail. Rollie's pancakes are WORLD CLASS! Don't miss ordering them. They come complete with "Rollie's Instructions" on how to eat them. No visit to Sayulita is complete without a trip (or two or three) to Rollie's!

“Great atmosphere and food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

Not sure why the negative reviews are pouring in??? We loved our meal at Rollie's. He is a true character and it is not an act!!! He is a retired school teacher and when I found that out it made sense. He was very welcoming, sat down with you when he took your order, and engaged in conversation. I instantly respected him when I saw the way he treated the children. He would give them paper and crayons and they would make a picture. When the children were done there picture he would announce to all the customers the artists name, describe the picture under his interpretation and then say what he liked best about the picture. The customers would then give the young artist a round of applause. The children were just beaming with pride!!! I loved it!!!!! I would definitely take my family to this restaurant. The food was fantastic. I had "The Magic" and my wife had a burrito, both were very tasty! We did not find it expensive at all.

“Not my cup of tea”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

You really have to be an aged American, who longs for home, to enjoy this place. Service is good but the owner's party piece acting is past it's prime. Food not overly good and pricey

“A Fun Brunch!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

We enjoyed Rollies for our first time more for its atmosphere than anything else! Yes, the breakfast brunch was also tasty, plentiful and yummy coffee. Many in our large group were repeat patrons and the patient line-up at the entranceway, was long!

“Not good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

After reading several favorable reviews we gave Rollie's a shot during our one week stay in Sayulita. Service was fine but the food was mediocre and overpriced. Tacos were really disappointing especially in light of the many many better and much cheaper options in town. Maybe breakfast would be better.
