“Excellent location, extraordinary stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

There aren't many places where you can feel at home when you are thousands kilometers away. Jean-Claude and Elise just made this happen for our friends and us. The hospitality was excellent, and Jean-Claude was doing everything he can to make our stay fun and successful. The B&B is located very well, close major tourist attractions. The rooms were clean and spacious. I will definitively recommend anyone staying here.

We used the Solaire as a base for our 3 days stay in Provence. It was great! Owners are wonderful, breakfast good and the garden fabulous. True, not much in Graveson, but so much is close by and this was a relaxing oasis in our travels.

We stayed in a deluxe room for 4 days in April; not a b&b but with more of a hotel feel, Le Cadran Solaire exceeded our expectations; engaged hosts, lovely room, peaceful surroundings with access to many provencal towns; you will not be disappointed- highly recommend.

Room Tip: pay extra for a deluxe room

we stayed at the hotel for a full week. It is a lovely place with very comfortable rooms which give you a provencial feeling. the location is great because it is close to many"must see" sites in provence as avignion, les baux, camarge, luberon, mont vento, aradech, bonbon museam, pont du gard etc.
The rooms are lovely, furnished with a lot of thinking for both needs and feeling.
we had the family suite which was large and comfortable and was exactally what we expected and much more. we stayed with two kids and a baby 2 month old .Jaun claud and Elisa were so wonderful helping us with all our needs with the childrens and espacially the baby.
They also spent a lot of time helping us to plan our days giving us the directions and even checking for us in the web open hours etc.

we travel a lot and overall it was one of the best places we have been to.
we will surely recommande it to our friends and familly.

Room Tip: we have seen all the rooms in the hotel and they are all very nice

For our first trip to Provence, we chose this small, 2-star by some ratings,10-room inn as our base. (We drove here from Monte Carlo after disembarking from a Seabourn cruise--about a 3 hour drive.) It was a great choice for a very nice, simplified lodging. Jean Claude and his wife Elisa are wonderful and caring hosts. JC loved giving us local dining and sightseeing tips and helping us plot each day's itinerary. All of his suggestions were useful. The room we stayed in, room 5, was very large and quite comfortable, but a bit spartan. We were trying not to compare to Seabourn services, but comparisons are inevitable. There was no bottled water or any other drinks available in the rooms or available in the lobby. No radio or TV (that's ok with me since I used internet radio via their free wifi on my computer). No Kleenex--just use toilet paper. No glassware for drinking tap water--just a couple of paper cups that you used for your two day stay--as you do with your towel set as well. (I'm sure JC would have given us new paper cups or towels if we'd asked.) So, as you see, it probably really is 2-star. But that said, we would definitely stay here again if we revisit this section of Provence. The helpfulness of JC and E, the tranquility of the tiny town, the accessability to sights, the camaraderie of visiting with other guests on the patio during the al fresco breakfast (which, too, of course, was spartan and included no cheese or meats or eggs) and the price (110 Euro when we were there) justify stepping out of the fantasy of Seabourn splendor for a more real-world travel experience.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay in this very nice bed and breakfast. The owner is very helpful and the property is nice, cosy, romantic and well maintained. However in Graveson itself there is nothing to see the hotel is very centraly located in the Provence and Luberon. An ideal spot to visit the region without driving long ways.
A very good WIFI connection when you need it, is included.

Room Tip: We had the big room with terrace and own parking place. Very nice and comfortable

This is a beautiful property in a lovely part of the world. We were traveling around the south of France and this is a perfect base to visit Avignon, Nimes, Arles, Pont du Gard , etc as well as some local villages with real character.
The owner really went out of his way to make you feel welcome, give you help on places to visit, parking, restaurants, local markets.
The room we had was exquisite, the furniture, pictures, antique pieces, all fitting into the era of the property.
There is a small terrace and garden area which is pleasant but the house does not have many facilities. So don't choose this if you want more than just a beautiful place to stay.
Breakfast is ok - we found it about par for the course compared to other places we stayed at.
Graveson is small and not a great deal going on, had a couple of good meals at L'Olivier restaurant, there is a medium sized supermarket where you can get anything.
