“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2011

The hotel it self was very nice. The staff was wonderful & very helpful! The only 3 complaints I have is that there was NOT a fridge or microwave in the room. Next the indoor pool was cold & hot tub to hot. Plus they had way to much chlorine in both. Last the hot breakfast was Jimmy dean sausage biscuits & Jimmy dean bacon, egg, & cheese biscuit that you had to microwave. Not the hot breakfast I was wanting!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2011

We (myself, wife and 2 young children) stayed a whole week at the Fairfield Inn in Fenton, MO to visit family in Eureka and were very happy with it. The hotel staff couldn't be friendlier, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The beds were doubles as opposed to queens, and hence kind of small for two people each. However, they were pretty comfortable. Also, the smaller beds meant more space in the room, and with two jumpy kids and temps in the low teens outside, the space helped!

A source of joy - a coffeemaker in the room! I'm always annoyed at higher priced hotels that don't give you one - here, the coffee is pretty good. However, we didn't really need it as fresh coffee is available 24/7 in the lobby, which was very good. Breakfast is included, and the selection was always stocked. Apple/Orange juice, coffee, various selections of fruit and yogurt, cereals, milk, muffins, bagels, eng muffins, a kind of "egg mcmuffin" type selection of sandwiches, and make your own waffles meant breakfast was always good. The egg mccmuffin thing was pretty salty, be warned.

The location is right near the 44 and 270 interchange, so pretty conveniently located depending on what you want to do. Six Flags is pretty close if that's your thing (it's not ours), and the attractions in STL proper are about a 20 minute drive away. We went to the City Museum -- HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended if you have children of any age (or if you're a child heart) - it's one of the best things I've ever seen. Website is http://www.citymuseum.org. Also, the science center is very cool.

The only thing I didn't like is the climate control is pretty primitive - a large wall unit provides heat (but no thermostat, so it can get kind of hot). It does A/C too but we did not need that by any stretch.

Overall, a very nice place and a great value. We will stay here again for our next visit to the area.

I agree with Debbie Vadalia. The hotel is acceptable, but not special. The rooms, and bathroom were clean. But, the bathroom has a strange layout where the door opens onto the bathtub making it a challange to access. The sink area is small, with little area for needed items. The room was without fridge or microwave, but with a clean comfortable bed. The location is tricky to get to, but not impossible. The staff was friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was the typical fare.

Hotel was acceptable but nothing outstanding. Check-in experience was not friendly and the rooms were not very quiet. Not pet friendly.

We stayed here one night passing through St. Louis. We'd stayed here before and liked the location (off the busy Interstate 44 far enough to keep the noise down) but close to a variety of food choices. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and very accommodating (even pointing out that several restaurants deliver to the hotel if we were not up to going back out). The room was typical Fairfield, which is to say, quite good. I've had a recent bad experience with another Fairfield so I was glad to see this place upholds the standards that we've come to expect from this chain. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. Even the breakfast staff were cordial and helpful as we got ready to get back on the road. In all, a good night at a good hotel. Recommended without hesitation.

Another nice Fairfield. Clean throughout with friendly service. Fun indoor pool. Comfortable beds and clean room. Good breakfast. My only complaint is they allow 5 guests to a double-bed room, but they cannot provide a roll-away bed due to the fire code. I have 3 kids and roll-aways come in handy. I understand their position, but they need to change their occupancy requirement to a maximum of 4 per room if they cannot provide roll-aways.

I recommend this hotel but be aware if you have more than 3 children.

I booked a few weeks in advanced and had no problems getting the exact room I wanted. They respected my preferences including putting a refrigerator in the room and on the highest floor away from the pool and the party going on in the breakfast room. It was very quiet and I could hear nothing from the neighbors rooms. The breakfast was typical Fairfield Inn and included bananas which is always a plus for me. The staff was super friendly!

The only downside is I arrived late on a rainy night, and it was a bit tricky to find as it is in an office park. There were gas stations and restaurants not too far however. Not far from St Louis and Six Flags.

The AAA rate was very reasonable.
