Amazing property no matter what, but this time of year fires are roaring and it's decorated to the hilt, as if the architecture isn't enough. Just stepping in takes me to another place in time. I cant say enough about the rooms, staff, grounds, restaurant or bar. Amazing place to be.

My wife and I were looking for a place to have a quite stay and a relaxing setting, but not too far from Kansas City. The Elms was perfect. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the facility is like a Swiss chalet and nestled and a beautiful quiet setting. We will gladly come back.

We loved our experience at the Elms! The front desk and spa staff were friendlying and helpful. We enjoyed the room and the spa! The grotto is a little expensive for what you get but if you are doing a service it's totally worth it! I got my hair cut and styled for $40 then had access to the grotto all day. We paid for just the grotto for my husband and didn't feel the price was as good as it could have been for just a few amenities. We still very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back to the hotel and using the spa again! Overall we LOVED it!!

My husband suggested a spa day for my 50th birthday. I booked our treatments online and was called with confirmation and reminders. The spa is located in the basement of a beautiful historic hotel. Staff were professional and friendly. The massage tables were amazing, the best part was the grotto which we had access to with our service. It was so relaxing. We walked away feeling very pampered and relaxed. We did not stay at the hotel but will definitely be back to do so one day soon.

The spa was really great always good. We had a mix up upon arrival which they immediately fixed and made right. The spa and the the spa manager are fantastic. Ask for Toy for a facial. The grotto is so nice and relaxing with many options. The breakfast was very nice. We didn't have dinner there but instead walked over to the Wabash for terrific BBQ. We enjoyed sitting outside in December in the hot tub with friends. This property has recently been refurbished and is very comfortable and stylish. All in all it was a wonderful weekend get away with friends.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has alot of history and ghost stories! Our room was awesome. Very clean updated. The bed is a memory foam. That took a little bit to adjust to. Almost everyone was very nice. Loved sitting by the fire place and eating a snack which was very good. We had an office party and they catered our dinner. I lliked most everything they had. At the bar you can get most anything handmade and they were very good, however the bartenders didn't sem to be in a very good mood.
Take the ghost tour. Lots of history which is interesting.
Valet young man was awesome.

A unique boutique hotel, well updated and rich in history. Had dinner at the bar and enjoyed the best ever Old Fashion prepared by a professional in mixology!

I was originally planning to stay in KC at the usual business type hotels, but after a quick scan of my travel app options I called about that evenings availability and was warmly welcomed with a mid week special.

My next trip I plan to spend more time and will be sure to take advantage of the Grotto spa and all it has to offer.
