“good night's rest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

My wife and I were returning from a very unsatisfactory stay in a fancy gated resort in Branson. Your room was 10 times better than what we had in Branson. We were tired and decided not to drive all the way home that day and looked for a place to pull over and stay. I usually try to stay at Holiday Inns (even though our last stay at Qunicy, IL was not that good). It turned out to be a good decision to stop. The staff was very friendly. The room was not fancy but looked updated and had a flat screen. It was very clean and considering it faced the interstate, it was very quiet. The facility was definitely older, but well kept. The lobby was really neat. We hope to bring the grandkids down next year to spend the day at Six Flags. Thanks for a good night's rest. The only negative was the cost, especially since it didn't include breakfast. I guess to cost was typical of a city hotel.

We are pleased you experience a "good nights rest" and for commenting on our hotel. When you return for your Six Flags trip with the grandkids be sure to ask about the discount tickets at the hotel. We also have the complimentary shuttle to Six Flags which will save you $20 on parking! Thanks again for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you in the future.

Our kids loved this hotel for the Fun Dome! This place is so great. It was raining, so the staff let us check in early. The kids got to swim and then we went back to Six Flags on the shuttle bus. The driver was very nice and we used that shuttle bus to the fullest. We had a poolside room, which was very handy as well. The kids said the place looked like a castle and was the best hotel ever.

Room Tip: Book a poolside or inside room. It is much more convenient. Well, don't pick a poolside room if...

We appreciate your staying with us on your trip to Six Flags and we are thrilled you and your children had a great time. Your Room Tip was great. We do have poolview rooms which are great if you want to be closest to all the Fun Dome activities. We also have rooms which are more private without entry to the Fun Dome and certainly a better location for some one who has very young children. Thanks again!

In my opinion the main building has a very awkward layout. They do have great facilities for your dog! A grooming building and plenty of grass. All of the staff were above and beyond friendly and would help you no matter what they were doing. One day of my week stay the garbage was not taken out of the room although the rest of the room was cleaned. If you are going to Six Flags it's probably perfect but the value is debatable.

I stayed several nights at this hotel while attending an event at Purina Farms. They do allow pets and seem to work often with Purina for their larger events. The rooms were quiet for the most part, although my friend at first experienced a different hotel. She was initially given a room with large glass doors that overlooked the "Fun Dome" (an area with a swimming pool, hot tub, shuffle board, tiki bar, etc.). She had dogs with her on the trip, and quite frankly we didn't understand why they put someone with dogs alongside an area of the hotel that had so much activity, because it made the dogs nuts. She changed rooms shortly after checking in when she realized the Fun Dome would be a problem for the dogs. Later, she told me the staff was very helpful when it came to finding her another room and getting her stuff moved to the new room.

The hotel itself has an old-world sort of castle feel to it, but I guess it is keeping in theme with the nearby Six Flags. The rooms are clean and the bed I had was comfortable. The room I had opened both to a hallway (at one end) and the parking lot (at the other end), and seemed pretty quiet except for the occasional outburst from a group of kids that were staying at the hotel with our group.

Room Tip: If traveling here with dogs -- there is a lot of grassy areas to walk the dogs, but much of it is sl...

We stayed here Mother Days weekend and this place looks impressive on the outside but on the inside it is falling apart. It rained and the roof leakage throughout the building. Our room was poolside and a bit noisy in the day. Housekeepers looked like worn out drug users and most have a pirate smile. Eeeew! Service to our room was scanty and had to keep asking to fill our coffee basket. It cost over 150 a night here and its worth is 60 maybe. This is NOT Holiday Inn quality by far, more like Motel 6 or Americas Best. We didn't eat at the restaurant so don't know about the food. Won't do it again that for sure!

We waited for the restaurant to open. We were greeted by a staff member that constantly touched her hair and pulled her pants out of her...ok you got the picture. Baked potato was small and not fresh. I paid $25 for a steak that was fair. No sweet tea?? What's up with that??
