While traveling with a disabled friend, I booked a handicap accessible room at this establishment. Upon arrival, around 6PM Friday, August 30, 2013, I was greeted by a smart-aleck desk clerk with little, if any, customer service training, and a poor attitude. After checking in, and making my way to the room, I found the alarm clock flashing. That didn't really matter though, as there were only 2 electrical outlets in the room, and I had to unplug the clock in order to have a place to plug my laptop charger. The other outlet was behind the standard definition CRT television. The room had both a refrigerator and microwave, although the refrigerator wasn't cool enough to keep food from spoiling, and the microwave didn't work at all. There were 2 lamps in the room, only one of which worked. There were 4 holes in the walls in various parts of the room that had been patched, but not painted. The shower curtain rod was at a bizarre angle, and looked like if you were to look at it wrong, it would fall to the floor. Also in the bathroom, the grab bar beside the toilet was affixed to the floor, but not the wall. When my disabled friend tried to use it to help himself off the toilet, due to it's yielding, fell in the floor. The bed sheets were tattered and holey as well. The 2 nice things I can say about the room: The air conditioning worked well, and it had a large shower. After expressing my concerns, I was told that I'd have a response by September 5th. That didn't happen. I finally received an anonymous email on September 6th, a full week after my stay, informing me "We would have certainly addressed any issues that was going on with the room where you stayed." I replied and asked why those concerns weren't addressed. Still haven't heard back from that one. If you're only looking for a place to stay cool and sleep, and don't really care much what you're sleeping on, this might be the place for you. If you're more discerning (like discerning at all), do yourself a favor and seek lodging elsewhere.
