“The Place for Lunch and Wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

We found lunch and wine and were happy. The place had a relaxed charm that made us feel comfortable. The staff were nice and friendly even though they were handling some customers that were not so nice. Tasting was free, so we bought a bottle to take home and noted others that we liked.

At lunch, were were offered grilled vegs which not listed as a side. I really enjoyed that. Food (brats and pulled pork) was very good. It wasn't the cleanest place we have visited, but it was fine. The one man band who was playing was fine. The world just felt good sitting there.

The only thing I would suggest is better bathrooms. There were only two and we ran into problems with the customers who were not so nice.

“No outdoor restrooms - staff was rude”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2012 via mobile

There are only two restrooms which are inside. The winery closed and there was still a large crowd of people. However, there was no access to the restrooms and the staff was rude when asked about access. The winery is great in the fact that you can bring in all food and water. The day was ruined for several groups when they couldn't use the restroom. Porta-potties are not that expensive!

“Great place to vsit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

Good Missouri wines at a Missouri wine price. Best thing is that you can bring your own snacks. They do provide food there and the hot dogs are great. Entertainment on the weekends makes it a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

“Fun times for all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2012

While a bit down the highway from other wineries, it's worth the trip. LOTS of open space, plenty of room for groups, live music, great wines & you can buy food there or bring in your own baskets....just no bottled water. Lovely facilities & restrooms. A great place to just spend an afternoon with friends. We like to start there & work our way back towards St Louis......or just spend the afternoon there. Not much cover from summer's heat, but a great place to enjoy wine.

“Unknowlegable Staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2012

I think that a winery should have people working for them that are knowlegable about the wine. That is not the case at this winery...at least not the day we were there. The person pouring the wine knew nothing about it. When we went to buy our wine, we asked for the Dry Vignoles and the person checking us out gave us the regular Vignoles instead. FOUR BOTTLES! I never thought that I would have to look inside our bag to make sure that she knew what she was doing. It wasn't even busy. We were the only people in there!
