My sister and I spent two nights at the Carraig B&B toward the end of our three week vacation in Ireland. We were on foot, and originally intended to walk from Galway city to the B&B. Unfortunatelly, due in part to our poor sense of direction and in part to Ireland's lack of signs, we got turned around and eventually ended up getting a taxi (which took all of ten minutes during rush hour...it's actually very close to the city). It was definitely worth the trek. Mary was an kind, generous, and helfpul host, and really went the extra mile in accommodating us, giving us rides, helping us decide what to do with our time, and booking us a bus tour into Connemara. (When the bus driver forgot to pick us up at the B&B, Mary called the company and arranged to have us picked up a little ways down the road, and then gave us a ride there.) She showed a real concern for making all her guests' stays as enjoyable as possible, and could give recommendations for anything.
