Description: When Tony Pietoso opened the original Cafe Napoli in the '80s, it quickly became a success. So Successful, in fact, that it moved to a bigger location at 7754 Forsyth Blvd. The restaurant continued to flourish with its generous portions of regional Italian specialties. Cafe Napoli has recently undergone a facelift and has added Bar Napoli next door. The swank cocktail lounge has soft lighting and a separate wine room that can accommodate 30 diners. The kitchen is headed by chef Jeff Davis, who has been with the restaurant for several years. Fortunato Pietoso, Tony's brother, has also returned to the kitchen. Tony makes rounds chatting with customers, many of whom appear to be on a first-name basis with him. The sons Ande and Kye split their time between the Bar and Cafe, as they are being groomed to take over the family business. Cafe Napoli is a must visit when in the St. Louis area. Some guests include Tony Bennett, Gloria Estefen, Joe Torre and Arnold Palmer to name a few.

“Home style Italian with great service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

We were looking for a good, home style Italian restaurant that would satisfy our taste buds and allow us to leave with full stomachs and we found just that at Cafe Napoli! We were sent there by the owner who we accidentally met at the Ritz were he was getting married that same afternoon. When he offered to make the reservations himself I knew we were in for a treat! We were 5 and all had something different from appetizers to desserts and they were all delicious! We'll be back!

“Sea Bass Perfection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

I am a low-carb kind of guy and was a little uneasy when my customer wanted to go Italian for lunch. Wow, was I impressed. They do a really nice grilled sea bass and serve it on a bed of sauteed spinach. The sauce is a well balanced lemon, olive oil and caper that is just right on the mark. I actually had this same dish at Napoli2 in West County a few months ago so it is nice to see consistency between the two sites. This is my third or fourth time dining with Napoli and I have never been disappointed.

“Great atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

There is a great deal of atmosphere for one restaurant. From outdoor seating, very casual, to the club feeling environment, and a third area with comfortable furniture. It felt like three different destinations. Food was excellent. Reco the veal parmigiana.

“No reservations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Spur of the moment dinner after arrival in St Louis so we did not have reservations. We were seated immediately but would have had to wait if we wanted to eat outside. It was a wonderful meal chosen from the specials of the day. Great service and completely unhurried.
