“Very nice staff and wonderful experience”

Our Stay was for a Staycation and we had the best visit. The front desk, Kim and Brad were excellent.
Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The Pool area was also nice and bar and lobby too. The Starbucks Coffee was a nice treat.The mall is close and many restaurants.

Room Tip: Talk to the Staff.

The night time front desk/management staff was unprepared and mismanaged to accommodate our large group of families that were booked for a local hockey tournament. They knowingly booked 75+ rooms of families w/ children and pre-teens and were extremely rude to us as guests giving the hotel over $35,000 worth of business in a 3 day period. The only issues were a few early evening noise complaints, which were rectified immediately, and the next night at 9:30 pm they called 6 police officers and threatened to kick out all of us - 75 families! The bar/restaurant was calmly filled and lots was being spent. NOTHING illegal or disruptive was going on. Our group will NOT return as we have done so for many years in the past. The front desk manager, Vernita, also was rude , intolerant and inaccurately reported my smaller group to our hockey tournament director, therefore potentially jeopardizing our participation in the hockey tournament. Chelsea, the "acting general manager" on Sunday 1/20 was also rude , said she was following "protocol". When is calling police for NO illegal or rowdy activity necessary. Again this hotel , knowingly booked 75 families for 3 night minimums each and had inadequate staffing to provide quality service to not only our group , but their other patrons.
BUT, ON THE OTHER HAND,
the morning staff, including Kim, could not have been friendlier or more pleasant! Also the server, Patima , in Chaucer's for breakfast was also amazing!

Our stay at the Doubletree was wonderful. We were checked in by Emma. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I must say...it was a joy to meet her!
Our room was on the 11th floor and had been totally renovated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the new furnishings were stylish and functional. Unfortunately there was a rude bunch of parents (with some sort of kid's sports group) eating pizza in the hallway while we were trying to sleep. Not Doubletree's fault.

The breakfast buffet was very limited. The only hot entree was scrambled eggs. There was an omelet station but, since there were over 40 young boys in the dining room, it took 15 minutes to get one omelet. The price of $17.00 was way too much for the small selection. I would definitely go elsewhere for breakfast. There is a small cafe that serves Starbucks coffee. That would probably have been a better choice.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel! This Doubletree is so nice and has been decorated so beautifully - I was "Wow"ed the minute I walked in the door! I am a work-out-aholic and was especially amazed at their fitness club! Beautiful hardwood floors; about 12 indoor tennis courts; a Starbuck's!!; restaurant/bar overlooking the courts; a small boutique with cute clothes!; daycare; an indoor basketball court; a large work-out room with the best equipment; great group classes; indoor racquetball courts....I was blown away! All the employees were so nice and helpful. A very nice manager named Julie showed me around and made me feel right at home! Great hotel with great accommodations!

I travel weekly to STL for business... and extensively all over the world for the last 35 years.. This hotel has the best staff... from Kim at the front desk to the maintenance guys who look you in the eye and greet you with a friendly hello... ask if your stay is alright ... Yes there is renovation going on but i have stayed in the old rooms and the new ones and they are doing an amazing job of transforming what was a little dated hotel into a really great property... It has not ever impacted me and i have been staying weekly for 3 months.. appears to be mostly done... The rooms are clean and crisp... the hotel has a great feel to it... they have a great breakfast ... a good bar... and the food is as good as any very good restaurant... I am mostly vegetarian and was able to find lots of choices on the menu... The wait staff clearly has been well trained and attentive without being invasive.... Overall one of my best hotel experiences and Ive had a bunch... honestly most hotels in this class do a pretty good job... this one just stands out to me because they take it to another level and it is refreshing to see people so customer and service oriented...

Room Tip: i didnt use the spa but if it is like the rest of the hotel, i would use the service if i had time...

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel for a gymnastics meet. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and they are always available no matter what you need. The rooms are very clean and comfortable as well. The hotel has just about everything you could want or need while you are on vacation or on a business trip. I will definitely be staying here again!

This hotel offers all the things that are important to me when traveling! They have a full size gym and group fitness classes I can take during my stay. This is not just a small room with a tv and a few treadmills it is a fully equipped gym and they have a Starbucks! The Spa is awesome and very reasonable! The lobby bar is beautiful. The pool is not your typical hotel pool it is extremly large and they have poolside service to boot! The hotel and gym staff are just wonderful! This is a great hotel!
