“Beautiful Murals & Stained Glass Windows”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Excellent place to stop.
The murals & stained glass windows are beautiful.
The fountains were turned off (I assume because it's winter), but there is plenty to see, a gift shop & a restaurant on the premises with plenty of benches & tables.
You could spend an hour or hours.
10 minutes from I-44.

“hidden treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

if you happen to be traveling through this way this is a great place to plan a stop to rest, you can use the rest room, get some thing to eat in the café, take a self tour and see the grounds, have a picnic. I don't know that I would drive out of my way for this but if you are traveling this way and you have 30 mins to and hour you can spend this is a neat place to see and buy gifts and things. This is a halfway point for us to Kansas city and we use it to have a chance to stretch our legs, walk the dog, take a few pics, the kids always enjoy it and it is so peaceful. it does not hurt to lave a few dollar donation or so just to help keep up such a neat little place but it is not required. we usually buy stuff though. this year we bought my moms birthday present and the kids did the build a bear which they had on sale for 9.99 and there clothes were even reasonable prices. so if you are heading through this way take some time to check out this neat little spot

“Love Precious Moments Figurines? You'll Love This Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Not quite on Route 66, we went a little out of our way to stop by this little gem. The history behind the Precious Moments figurines is a major part of this attraction. I loved seeing the facility. The Chapel was gorgeous, the grounds heavenly. We didn't do the tour, but happened in on it while they were in the Chapel. If we hadn't been pressed for time, I'd have loved to do the full tour. Of course, I had to pick up a figurine in the HUGE gift shop to remember our visit :)

“Kinda sad”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

We traveled pretty far out of our way to visit what we had heard was a really neat place and we were sadly disappointed. It might have been nice in the mid to late eighties, but it is not any longer. A very long walk to the chapel itself, the grounds were in very poor condition with no fountains in working order and broken statue platforms, and the museum closed down -- it all left much to be desired. The gift shop and clean restrooms were the only positives, yet, we did not purchase anything. It seemed more of a memorial and art gallery for the Precious Moments artist than any sort of religious experience. Sad and disappointing.
