“Had a great time over the 4th of July weekend at Indian Point Resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2010

We stayed in the "New deluxe 1 bedroom condo." While I wouldn't consider the condo "new" it was newer, very clean and spacious. We usually stay at the Hilton at the Landing so we were taking a chance, especially after reading all of the negative reviews. We were pleasently surprised. The check in process was quick and the staff was very friendly. There were no surprises at check in, we were able to check in about an hour early. Our condo was extremely clean. The resort is right on the lake with its own marina. We rented a pontoon boat for 2 days and I cannot say enough about the helpful and friendly marina staff. The pontoon boat was a newer boat in very good condition. We also rented a tube which the staff already had hooked up and ready to go for us when we got on the boat. The pool at the resort was clean, all of the property looked clean and the lawns and landscaping were well maintained. I'm not sure I would stay in the cottages, they did look pretty run down. The resort owner put on an awesome firework show that lasted 20 minutes or so and also had an area for guests to shoot off their own fireworks. We could see the Chateau's display from the resort as well. Overall we had a great time and plan to return later in the summer. Also, we ate at the Crazy Cajun Citchen, down the road, on Indian Point Road. It had just opened and the food was great and the owners very friendly. Great cajun food!

Very outdated and unclean. Love seat was broken down and one leg was broke. We had small children that crawled on the carpet and their knees and tops of feet were black. Stove had knobs missing, the bathroom leaked water into the laundry room, we had to constantly mop up water on the floor. Upon arrival we were greeted by a dead snake at the entrance. This place has potential if they would put some money into it. The hot tub wasn't working. The nicest thing about this place was the dock area. The people there were nice and we were able to swim off the dock area.

We have stayed at Indian Point Lodge numerous times. We were very disappointed in the 12 plex! We've stayed in their 4 plex and in their condos and they were good especially the condos. The 12 plex had a musty or mildew smell that played havoc with our sinuses! Sorry to say ,we won't stay there again!!

Beware...you pay most of your money when you reserve your stay and then pay the remainder right when you check-in. Should have been my first clue! I have never done it that way before and didnt feel comfortable doing so but I didnt have a choice. Called front desk b/c air conditioner was broken, maintenance came out later and turned up the knob. That didnt work...by the time we got back to our room and tried to call the front desk to change rooms the office was shut down for the night. Rooms were not very clean and the towels looked like they've been around for 30 years. Changed rooms the second day then the bottom lock on the door wouldnt lock. Also the pool areas weren't very clean and it looked like they haven't cleaned the hot tub in years. When we checked out we asked to talk to the manager and little did we know we were talking to her. She said she would note our account and let the owner know. Waited 3 days and never heard from him so I called and he was conveniently out of the office. Left a message for him to call me back and he didnt. Called a few more days later and left a message and he never called back. Called a third time and he never called back. Called a last time to talk to someone in accounting and the front desk said I had to leave a message b/c they dont work out of that office. DO NOT, I repeat....DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! There are better places to stay and some that will work with you and not be scared to talk to you and fix problems! I have never had such a bad experience at a hotel before!

The check in process was decent. They were not pleased that we have not picked a show to go to, and had to change our package to the Silver Dollar City package. We learned that our cottage (Eagle View Cottage) was right across from the office. We walked in, and were immediately disappointed. It was smaller..oh and not to mention...it didn't even resemble the pictures in the Branson Vacation Guide or their website. I would simply classify it as a dump. The fold out couch bed, which was not mentioned in the booking, was horrible. We folded it out for our child, and I said there was no way he was sleeping on that. He had to sleep on the love seat. Now, the queen size bed, that was a joke. You sat on the bed, and almost hit the floor. The bathroom.....might has well had been a closet. The next morning, there was a scorpion in the cabin. Yes, a scorpion. I would say the only good thing was the closeness of the pool, right outside. You also could not hear outside noises, but that was probably due to the window AC unit. We are definitely crossing this one off our list. Luckily we only stayed 3 nights, and we stayed gone most of the time.

Terrible This was in Cabin at Indian Point
It was clean but electrical not up to par. Needed light bulb they came put one in &
when we checked the whole socket was hanging out. Fire Hazard.
Had 2 bedroom kitchen living room. Air conditioner in living room. Had whole in
wall with fans to blow air conditioning to bedrooms. Broken bed in one room.
Septic tank (I think) with privacy fence around had poison ivy growing all over.
Yard was not mowed. They said we could see lake but could only see small piece
thru trees. Could get killed on the gravel on those hills.
They also said was 6 miles from Branson. It was about 15. Stayed 1 ni
DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY ONE. Fire Hazard & Health Hazard

We recently stayed at a condo (Indian Resort). The check in process was quick...great. Went to the room and the space was quite enough for all of us. However, the room was very, very dusty and the kitchen was dirty. Built up grease on the microwave above the stove, stuff splashed on the dishwasher, oven and cabinets. The bathtubs were dirty and the toilets weren't cleaned properly. I'd say the dust on the fans went back to a good year or so. Just dirty..gross. Oh....don' t try and call the front desk because nobody answers. They didn't as much return my call after waiting twenty minutes on speaker before deciding to leave a message. The bedspreads were stained and smelled and the pillows were like sleeping on a rubber sponge. It's a shame that whoever runs the place doesn't keep the places up. It won't be long and they'll look just like all the other run down places in Branson. What a waste of money. Don't think the pool is anything special because it's dirty, too.
