“LOVED this Hotel!!! Highly Recommend!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

I read reviews for so many hotels before making my decision on booking with the Grand Plaza Hotel in Branson, Even though we were staying as a couple, we had to book the two Queen bed room because of the discount rate compared to getting a King bed. Still, everything was so great at this hotel that it didn't matter if we had the room we wanted.

We stayed in room 725, two queen beds, and facing the north side. We had an amazing view, better than the strip. Plus, 7 and 25 are lucky numbers for us, which was another great surprise. Also, the room was very clean, the beds looked updated, and the room had a fridge, flat screen TV, and smelled nice. We loved the room, and the service was great. We asked for a great view and to be on one of the highest floors, and they gladly gave us the best available.

There's a GAME ROOM! My boyfriend and I love games and we found out there was even an air hockey table! Some of the arcade games are old and not functioning the best, but others were fun and in great condition. Air hockey was a blast, and we went to the game room as a late night activity when nothing is open in Branson, since the game room is open until midnight.

The pool was heated, and the hot tub was super nice. We were in Branson the first weekend of May, and it snowed! The hot tub made it all better!

On top of that, I can't say enough good things about the breakfast. It was absolutely amazing. hot and cold. You had choices of: cooked ham, sausage, eggs, gravy, biscuits, potato bites, and more. You also had choices of making your own waffles with hot syrup on top! You could have cereal, apple juice, orange juice, milk, bagels, toast, anything. It was delicious and filled us up enough that we could skip lunch and have more money for dinner!

The beds were comfortable, pillows were very soft. Furniture looked nice. Bathroom was beautiful. I just love walking into a hotel bathroom that has a lovely counter-top!

i highly recommend this hotel to stay in. Free breakfast, free parking, free wifi, friendly, inexpensive, and conveniently located.

Room Tip: Loved the 7th floor, north side. Room 725 is the best, in my opinion! Quiet stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days during April 2013. The room seemed okay at first but after a few days I noticed that the rugs were never vacuumed, the bathroom floor was never washed and the bathtub was never washed after showers. They did change the towels, but that was about all.
We were on the 4th floor and travelled with a group of people.
On the 4th day my husband was bitten by bed bugs. I had checked the beds for signs of bugs and there weren't any. I was not bitten. I did not ask anyone else in the group if they were bitten but other people did comment on the fact that the hallways were not vacuumed until our last day there. Maybe they gave our group a special rate and saved money on cleaning services.
I do not unpack in hotels and keep clothes in the suitcases mostly in zip lock bags. Suitcases are always kept on luggage racks or tables.
The breakfast at the hotel was just ok. Nothing special at all. We would not recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay at the Grand Plaza. Hotel was clean, pool area was clean as well. They had a great hot breakfast with many items to choose from. My kids enjoyed the different flavors of waffles each day. This hotel is in a great central location. Unlike other reviewers we did not have a problem with thin walls and didn't find the elevator waits to be longer than anywhere else. Check in and out was easy and staff was friendly and helpful. The hot tub was small and was crowded. There is no sign limiting the amount of time you can spend in the hot tub if others are waiting. It is nice, just small for the number of people that were there at the same time.

The Grand Plaza is clean, nice looking and offers a great value. The Indoor pool was clean and warm. The work out room, was small with three pieces of equipment. They did provide a free breakfast with many food choices. The hotel will aslo get you tickets to whatever shows you want to see.

Mattresses were not that comfortable.

This was probably the best value of the whole Branson trip.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up give you a better view of the strip.

This stay was quite enjoyable my first stay . But, I decided to give them a second chance. A very comfortable place to stay and I thought the room very comfortable also. I do have two minor issues. One is parking. The hotel is located on a hill so if you parked in front you have to carry your luggage up quite a few steps to get to the main entrance. If you stay go around back to park there are no steps and a level close entry. Second, I wanted to type a letter so i went down to the guest services area to use the hotel computer. However they had no word processing program on the computer. They did have a printer and Internet access just no word processing programs.

We got a king jacuzzi suite for our 20th anniversary. The room was huge, the jacuzzi was very large. Room was really clean. Bed not so comfortable. Nice hdtv. Microwave and refrigerator. Furnishings updated. Walls a little thin. Stayed 2nd floor. Sunday morning breakfast was awesome up on the 9th floor restaurant. Scenic views of Branson. Very nice property, will stay again.

We went here on our 5th wedding anniversary and had a great time. Kaylee from the hotel got flowers and decorated the room so that I could surprise my spouse. We stayed in a king jacuzzi suite which was really nice. Continental breakfast is really good with lots of cooked options. The location is really close to the strip but far enough away that you don't feel like you are on top of the strip.
