“Fast Get Away-Very Relaxing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Very nice get away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a movie theater that they will play show AFTER hours if you request. The pool is open 24 hours. The Sunday brunch should be marked as dangerously good. Dinning in style. Live piano being played during brunch. You feel like you will have personalized staff to help you. My cup was never empty and the person was there with refills. This is an excellent place to unwind, get away, or have simple family trip. You could stay at resort and have a very good time. ONLY improvement which is my personal style- I wish they would move to more glass luxury vs rustic luxury.----GREAT PLACE~!

Room Tip: Select Lakefront view and request balcony at check in.

This is an expensive resort. The views are wonderful and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We have stayed here many times. The spa is terrific and very, very quiet. The food is good; the specials are worth trying. Ice water is given poolside during the summer days. It is outside of Branson but great after a hectic day. Couples love the atmosphere. Kids have a play area near the pool. You may want to call the resort directly and ask about any specials/promotions. Also if you are part of a convention there, ask to extend your stay at a discounted rate.

We had heard of the resort years ago, while we lived in Arkansas; we were in town scouting the area for a family reunion site and eagerly booked a night at the Chateau, Visually it is impressive; the view of the lake is fantastic. The room we had was very nice and clean; their pillows were to die for (but avoid getting a room with a roof view - not much to look at). The room service breakfast was very well prepared. But, from a staff perspective, it did not live up to the hype. A guess is the hotel was so empty that night it created a more relaxed service attitude. There was not any one at the door when we arrived around 830pm or we may have asked for help with luggage. There was no one on the front desk for at least a minute when we got there; finally a young trainee came out to assist. Initially he was courteous, but he quickly became involved in the mechanics of doing the computer checkin work he was obviously new at. Then another gentleman came up to the desk; apparently he had been involved in a room change earlier and he was there to continue that process, At that point I could have been on another planet; the gentleman and the trainee were off in their discussions while I stood there waiting. After another couple minutes the trainee did get me a registration slip to sign, abruptly handed me a key packet and went back to assisting gentleman - it was all so cursory I even apologized to the trainee for being an interruption. We figured out ourselves that a room number starting with 5 was probably on the 5th floor, and a passing staff member pointed to where elevators were. In the morning the room service server seemed to be rushed, like she had too many orders to take at that time, and she seemed too eager to get the order dropped and get on down the road. At checkout the clerk was friendly but not outgoing, and I was surprised there was not an offer of luggage assistance. There was a doorman, he got the door but seemed generally bored. Overall, alas, just an average stay.

Room Tip: Make sure to request a room not overlooking the roof

We traveled to the Chateau over our daughter's Christmas break from school. We used a Groupon. Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, nice rooms, indoor pool, ice cream shoppe! Outdoor area looks like it will be nice during warmer months. Only drawback is that the resort is a little out of the way with nothing but the lake nearby (however, that could be seen as a bonus as well during the warmer months).

We stayed here for 1 night and I was an amazing experience! We had a great view of the mountains! The staff was great! Would stay again for sure! It is not located near all of the action, but I found that nice! The spa was amazing as well!

Con no fridge and no microwave management needs to seriously address that issue. I travel with children!!!!!! They always want something to drink or need a snack. Everything else @ the hotel was perfect room, grounds, ect.

This was my second time staying at the Chateau and I enjoyed both stays very much. It is a very clean hotel with comfortable beds and nicely decorated rooms. The staff is the best and all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating at the Atrium Café (the food was fantastic!) and getting desert from their sweet shop. We played a little tennis and had fun exploring the hotel and the grounds. The pool and hot tub are nice and the spa was wonderful. I only have one complaint and that is that the rooms are not very quiet. I actually had to have mine switched after the first night because the guests below us were SO noisy (actually were playing and electric guitar at 11:30pm). Not a good thing when you are getting up at 7am for Silver Dollar Cities opening day! The walls just seem to be really thin. If you get a room with a balcony don't stay on the back side of the hotel. You get a partial water view but the sound of the AC units running were SO loud it was actually comical! No way you could sit out there and enjoy a book or the view. I could even hear them running in my room with the doors closed! The last night I could hear people fighting in the room next to me. I really love this place but I also value some piece and quiet. I can't think of a thing the staff could do to make it any quieter, it's just the design of the place and the materials used. We stayed for 3 nights and had a good time overall and really do recommend this hotel just be prepared to hear some noise.
